(NEW) South Bay June 19th Meet at Dave and Busters 2pm

I made this new thread so that I don't confuse anyone.

Since the Crystal Guard demonstration is happening on the 12th I've moved this meet to the June 19th.

We'll be meeting in Milpitas at Dave and Busters. We'll be parking together at the top of the parking structure in front of Media Play at 2pm. I will be there for sure to meet and greet anyone who wants to come over and meet. Sorry to have moved this but I'd like to give everyone the opportunity to meet.

Dave & Buster's
Address: 940 Great Mall Dr, Milpitas, CA 95035
Phone: (408) 957-9215

If you can make it I'd like to add you to a running list.

I know both of you are ok with this slight change because I know you were looking forward to meeting up as I am.

You're doing this on purpose, aren't you. 5/19 is another SCCA autocross event, this time in Marina.

Uh oh, I guess you'll skip this one too PUR NRG? Good idea, June 19 sounds ok to me. I will be going to the Crystal Guard sessions on June 12. Let's park all the way up to the roof parking lot near D&B, Milpitas. My other car's meet do the same too.

See you there Sideswipe and all!

It'd be nice to meet everyone but autocross comes first. I need all the seat time I can get.

PurNRG,

Damn I swear I'm not doing this on purpose! The Pikachu would be so cool to have in a picture.

I'm glad this day is working out better for other folks so far.

Relax, I was joking. If anyone's interested I'll be autocrossing tomorrow morning (9am) at Candlestick and again on 6/6 at Golden Gate Fields just north of Oakland. Free rides for anyone interested.

Smile This is pretty cool.

We have such cool cars! This is going to be sweet. I just got my license plate in after 2.5 months and I felt so good ripping off that little reg sticker in the corner. She's no longer the "new kid" on the block.

I think everyone is invited period, car, bicycle, motorcycle, etc -- it shouldn't make any difference.

All Mazda RX series cars are welcome.

Making this up as I go but this totally makes sense to me...

I think any Mazda RX car is totally good to go. I was thinking primarily RX-8 but there are plenty of number to run down. So lets keep it in the "family." If you're a proud owner of a Mazda RX series car feel free to come down. We'd love to know how the differences and evolution broke out. I'm sure you have some history to share.

The big requirement is the love of your RX and being nice.

No Minivans, SUVs, snowmobiles, boats, airplanes, motorcycles, trains, helicopters...they just are'nt RXs and this is what the get together is really about the RX.

I think it may be a mistake to try excluding different rides. What if you're thinking of an RX-8 but don't have one yet? Showing up at a meet and getting cold shoulders just because you aren't in an RX car isn't the way to make a good first impression.

I'd say that should be the only requirement.

Yeah, potential members should be welcome too. If I didn't have an RX-8 right now, I would like to show up just to check out the rides of those who own one. Maybe I could get a test ride or something

Good point.

You guys make a good point. I agree that those that are thinking about getting an 8 can come over and find out first hand from us owners what we think.

No GROUPIES though hahaha! Every band has one...ugh.

Yhea I have the same thoughts as PUR NRG, I have been on the recieving end of the could shoulder. I used to have a Vortech Civic took to a buddys Team Integra meet on Treasure Island and people asked me to park somewhere else becauses they wanted only Integs. I was like uhh Alrighty... laaaaame. Needless to say I am glad that happened because I was going to buy a Hype R integra but I insetad got an RX-8

Ok ok, you guys have made your point

Ok, I see that not everyone would like to see only RXs. Heck I've got a 01 Vette and a 00 Camaro SS along with my RX-8 that i like to show too. So consider it non-excluded to just RXs then. I call the team my triple black heart attack. hehehehe.

Gotta love cars.

Moostafa:

Thanks for the compliment.

I love each car. Before I bought my RX-8 I was driving my Neon as a commuter. Unfortunately I just got tired of it. I bought it as my A to B car so that I did'nt put heavy miles on either one of the other two cars. I thought I would be ok with it. Jumping from a low powered car with no handling to a high powered car with handling is a big jump which made me think after 3 years...I gotta get something else.

I was considering the 350Z, BMW 330, Audio A4 and ultimately I ended up with the 8 in my comparisons for what i wanted.

I've been totally happy with her especially after my M flash. 4 doors are almost practical, handles like a champ, and everything about it was unique right down to the engine. I know some people are mixed about it's looks but I think it looks like a puma ready to pounce.

I just love cars.
