Oak Tree mazda service department, thumbs up
Just wanted to go against the grain and post about a good experience i had with a dealer. Oak Tree Mazda in San Jose, Ca. I took my car there for a long list of stuff:
Squeaking brakes - replaced
Headlight film - replaced
ecu was flashed
A/c amp - replaced
storage door - replaced
there were a few other things, they did an excellent job and did it all in less then 48 hours. I was really pleased. Awesome job oak tree! :D

just an update to all the millions of people who viewed this thread...
I'm taking the car back on wednesday, A/C still wasn't cold, looks like this isn't a problem with the dealership, but with the car instead. Sigh.

Also what about the ECU? What version are they upgrading to now? P?
The sunroof rattles as well as the dashboard. It does bother me.
Who was the service rep you dealt with?
TIA,
Carlos

Nice bunch of service guys there, I hate the salepeople though! But be careful bringing in modded cars to oak tree, they tried to blame my CEL on my intake and refused to work on it all because of a K&N. Also, Putnam Mazda guys seem very good as well. I just brought my car to their shop today, and despite being overwhelmed with customers they still agreed to take my car in for various things and give me a loaner as well. CEL was flashing, NAV screen blanked, and I need my 45000 mile service done.

Carlos,
I just told them i had film on my headlights that i couldn't get rid of, they replaced the headlights, although i dont know what's up the cut off is AWFUL now and i think they didn't align them, doh!
I think they'll take care of the rattles as long as the car is under warranty. My service guy is bing and he's a cool dude.

Bedrock,
That sucks about the intake thing. I'm going to ask them before i mod my car, hopefully i can do a catback without them caring. I got the extended warranty to 100k so i dont want to void it after 3 weeks of ownership!

I might have to take my car down there. I have the headlight film, forgot to tell the guy last time I had my car in. My brakes are squeeking and the guy tried to blame it on my driving (I barely use the brakes, how could I be over heating them?) I even showed him the TSB for the brake pads. I didn't think it cost the dealership anything to perform warranty repairs, aren't they reimbursed by Mazda? So I wonder why they have 'to call mazda' about everything that's wrong with my car. Oh well, I don't want to bad mouth the dealership that I'm using since they are pretty nice and also convenient to my location but it does make me mad when there is a TSB out there and they blame my driving, something about the rotors being glazed, I don't even know what that is. Certainly NEVER happened on any other car I've driven and I've used the brakes the same way on all of them.
