dude it aint my day off, it was just a random day i picked for a meet (when nick was the only one to show lol! =D ) we can always change it to friday if you guys want

I'm sure most people like myself would want to spend time with our significant other on the weekend nights.. (Friday nights) for instance, so I doubt that will be happening.

Sorry, a noobie here. I'd registered with the intent of posting in the Parts Wanted section but saw this thread, so I thought I'd contribute. If I may make a suggestion or two:
(1) A good car gathering can be found every Saturday morning from 6:00-8:45AM at the Donut Derelicts hangout in Huntington Beach. Located on the NE corner of Adams and Magnolia in HB behind the Mobil gas station, the parking lot fills up fast with a large assortment of cars including vintage race cars, so you might want to come and check it out.
(2) Street Legal Drags, Saturday January 22nd at California Speedway in Fontana. Gates open at 8AM, racing at 9AM. It's $20 to race and $10 to spectate. Again, just another idea. Here's some more info:

If it was last week and any week for the past 4 weeks, I would've been able to make it but damn, this week, my gf's coming back, so no can do

Hey guys, so where and when will be your next meeting? I really wanna check out some of your rx-8s so i can get an idea what to do with mine, since mine is bone stock and lots of works need to be done. Sorry, the noobie again.
Getting up early is worth it as the parking lot fills up with 150+ cars & vintage bikes that span the spectrum. One guy brings his Bonneville Salt Flats racer every so often, a large contingent of muscle cars show, all sorts of street rods are there, etc. A 4-door sports car such as an RX-8 would attract a lot attention there, as it's unique. I've been going to this deal for several years now (I'm one of a handful of Buick owners that go) and it seems something new is rolling in every Saturday. At any rate, if any of you go to CA Speedway in Fontana on Saturday, I'll be driving the GN with chrome bumpers.
I'll post it in the other forum, but I'm trying to get a line on a set of bare 18" RX8 rims in the OC area for my wife's '03 MPV which has the body kit, rear spoiler & so on. She saw the wheels on an RX8 at Mazda's exhibit at the LA Auto last Sunday, and she commented how cool they looked. Seeing as her birthday is coming up and her car needs new tires anyway, I thought I would check around. The parts guy at Anaheim Mazda tells me the bolt circle and offset is the same, so they ought to work. But, Tire Rack.com tells me I need to fit a 235/50 series tire on the rim to retain the stock ride height (stock tires are 215/60 17s), hence the search for bare rims. A quick note: a couple of weeks while my wife's van was in for warranty service I took the opportunity to try out an RX8 and was very impressed with its handling. I even took my son's child seat with me to see how it fit into the back seat through the extra doors; what a great idea in a sports car!
Anyway, sorry for the long post; thanks for your patience!

is it okay if i go? i don't have an rx8 yet.
i'm actually looking at this 04 track RX8 in black and am very close to buying it. so i guess i'd like to check out what you all have done to your rides and meet you all.
especially TRIGGERx1 and TracerRX-8 's rides since theirs are black.
so is there a good amount of people showing up this week?

for the first meet of 05, ther was a pretty good turn out =) its every other week now =)
When: Thursday's (every other week starting the 20th *thursday*)
Meet time: 9PM to 11PM
Then: At 11Pm we will cruz somewhere fun. (spots vary by vote)
