I'll meet at the In N Out at Cypress, that was a pretty good place considering it has food, and the people didn't care we were there making noise. :P Come on out Mikeb.. still want to see those side mirrors.
And D, what sideskirts... replicas or real MS? Kinda want to see other types of sideskirts too... though replica/real doesn't matter for sideskirts since that isn't the part that will get damage.

Keep it white
j/k If you have questions about the paint I'll talk to you more about at a later meet... I did quite a bit of research on it.
Wonder if that White Jada toys car has been sold or not... if it's the same owner that went to the Friday 1st of the month meets in Westminster, he wasn't too friendly. He obviously knew/saw I drove an RX-8, but didn't even want to acknowledge that I was there.. instead he kept talking to some Civic peoples. Oh wells... guess he is too good for us.

I had to pick up a friend from the air port last week (or did you meant the OTHER Robert who was at the meet two weeks ago?).
>> The only people that were there were the rent-a-cops.
The rent-a-cops are the ones that call the real cops. Really, we come there, stand in the parking lot, and (in some people's eyes) cause raucous. It's not like we were renting the spot. We can always go back to the Wax Museum. There are tons of empty parking lots around. The meet isn't going away. We've still got a week before the next one.
I say we just meet at the In-N-Out we used to cruise to. There is a big lot, it's not in "Downtown Buena Park", and there isn't a ricer meet on the other side of the lot.
I'm really with Cho on this one. I want the cops attention about as much as I want herpes, and I really enjoy eating with everyone more than standing around waiting to eat with everyone![Wink](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
So, my vote is for the In-N-Out we used to go (not Fullerton).

I say In N Out too... let the new people that haven't tried it see if they like the spot. Besides, this way we can grab a bite to eat... and the cops can't do jack crap.
Another bonus is the Chevron gas station there that Robert uses to refill... and the 91 freeway is just around the corner. So all good there.
If we get tired of Burgers, we can have a meet at uhmmm... a sit down type restraunt... like Carrows/Cocos on South Street... I've seen the Scion/RSX meets hang out there at CoCos across from Greatland Target. etc... Any other suggestions?

you mean further West.. it's directly west of the old meet. Part of it is because that area has the 91 freeway and the 605 freeway. Could be easier for people to navigate to here from the LA, Valley area if they choose to come. Since you're coming from Fontana, that's a slight problem.
Kwescott, have you come to the Tustin OC Meet on the 1st Saturday of the month? It's a pretty good meet too.

Cerritos may not be the greatest place to hang out in. It has a long history of cops busting imports. I've lived there since 1978 and the cops can be asses. Valley View IN N Out is probably a better place. I use to hang out their back in the day and we never had any problems what so ever.

There is a huge empty parking lot behind the Wax Museum and it can't be seen from the street. It doesn't have food but so what, we can drive somewhere else, we always do. We'll never get busted back there.

The In N Out is fine by me too... At least it's food. Also the last few times we've been there nothing has happened.
Any other ideas guys?
This is for the March 31st Thursday night meet.

If we actually go into a restaraunt/bar, we won't have to worry about getting kicked out of a parking lot. We will probably go round and round trying to pick the best spot, and never come up with a spot that will make everyone happy.
Who started this group...that person should decide on the location, and if it doesn't work out this time, then maybe could go around with another round of suggstions...and so on. I think we have enough suggestions at this point. I will again suggest BJ's at the Brea Mall....because it does have a crowded parking lot (which is good because we won't be the only crowd)....they have food and drinks...and we could probably get the outside patio area to kick back and talk.
Then again, if your main intention is a cruise, then if we have a designated meeting time, we should make a 10-15 minute grace period, and then leave...then it won't matter where we meet..... I agree with getting out of standing around in the parking lot...draws to much negative attention...just my 2 cents.

How are the meets out in Fontana? Drive and eat? or Hang Outs?

Hmmm... though a good round of beer wouldn't be bad

The inland empire meet was great. I went for my first time this month...it was about 3 weeks ago now. We had breakfast at Farmer Boys off of the 10 and Cherry, then went out to San Bernadino to meet up with everyone. We stayed in a parking lot for a little over an hour, until about 11:00. Rx-7's and 8's. We then went on an aggressive ride on hwy 138. It is a mountain rode directly off of the 215 fwy, about 10 miles north of the meeting point Nice little twisty road with little traffic. Got my car up to about 125 on a couple of the straights. Good group of guys, good spacing and no bad driving choices....it was probably the best/hardest I've driven my car since I bought....well worth the drive.
For the next meet, they are trying to plan an earlier drive, and then a lunch at a park to hang out afterwards. Sounds like it will be a good time. Check the other post to see more...the last I checked, there was going to be a sign up list for the "picnic" afterwards.
There are some pics of the drive on that post. The only bad thing about the road is there was some loose gravel as well as a "water crossing" from the rain runoff. If you check the site, one of the pics is my black 8 going through the water. It was clean water at least
.
I would definately recommend making the drive once...but it may be too far for most.
I agree with Brea being a little far for most....but I would like to find a bar/restaraunt ....maybe in the Cerritos area if that would be most convenient for everyone.

There is a BJ in Cerritos as well as TGIF. Both very easily accessible to get from the Freeway. Shouldn't be any problems with police at those two locations. Since it's an eating establishment, it should be good.
The only thing I would see as a problem is the parking, could be kind of packed. But if it's for a Thursday meet, shouldn't be a problem. Every time I go to the TGIF there, the people still check out the car...
We can also sit outside the patio and be as loud as we want, and still be able to see our cars... in case some jerkoff tries anything funny.
The one thing I notice about meets is this... The OC meets have more Rx-8s. As you go further north to LA and the Valleys, more old school 7s.
Can't wait for the 300+ mile drive, wonder if I will be free for that or not.
