Is anyone good at data recovery? My USB is corrupted and I've been holding some data on that drive. This is mostly my monthly expenses as well as the two spreadsheets I use to track maintenance for my cars. I'd like to have them back and right now I feel stupid for not backing them up more regularly.

ack, sorry to hear that... is it a hard disk (internal or external) -or- flash drive? flash memory is vRAM i believe, and u might be SOL if that goes bad.
but, hard disk failure typically is the drive mechanism that goes bad. if it's an external drive, try moving the drive to a new housing case with a new power supply. If it's internal and you've tried all the basic things like trying to copy the data off that drive to another drive and that failed, then <insert drum roll> for 3 grand a data recovery place might be able to recover the files for you. there's a place in burbank right off the 5 north/ 134 that does that stuff. of course, they don't guarantee anything- just that they move the magnetic coils from the bad drive to a working drive, copy all the files off, and give it to you on a CD or DVD. and, whatever is there is what u get...

it looks like data recovery is still possible for flash drives. u should call and get a quote. my guess is it could cost anywhere from $50 to couple hundred bucks.

Stoptech Brakes
I just got the brakes installed yesterday! woohoo! still being broken into but already feels a lot better. no more shuddering when braking (mann I really f**ked up my brakes last time I went to track) - _ -;

rawr, get a hard on your top... uhh, j/k.
those S badges are nice, keep them. (so i can jack them fromyou)
anyways...first things first. i heard the car had problems cranking over slow. look into a new battery... there are a couple lightweight options out there. try a miata one or the oddyssey...but just get a replacement in there before you get stranded.
