Yeah thanks for letting us use your garage Mongo. And thanks to everyone else for the install help.

@g8ter I'm diggin the coils man. I like how its sits right now. I'm still getting that clunking sound though. I'm pretty sure its the springs, gonna have to fix that. Hows your suspension doing?

@Mongo Hey I left that container of secret sauce at your house. You think you could bring it at the next meet so I can get it back?

@Jedi Yeah it would be great to meet you too. I'm prolly gonna show up to that K1 racing as well. We should get the whole corona crew out and mob that place. Sounds like a good time.

My suspension is doing great cept when I left mongos somehow I forgot to tighten the lugs which equaled nasty vibrations. I called Neiron09 and he helped me out.........maybe your springs are clunking because we didn't preload them? Other than that I like the stiffness (no homo) it handling is great....I just need that alignment and be mindful of steep dips, I already scraped twice

@ Zin I totally agree Corona should seriously make a presence at the Friday carting event.

@G8ter glad I wasn't too far away to come back and help out. I can't believe we forgot those.

it's always cool to meet new members and it looks like you guys have a good group going out in Corona.

reminds me of the 1st suspension upgrade I did on my 8.
My buddy (who will remain namless for now) forgot to tighten to the top bolt on the front struts. You know, the one that you see when you're looking at them with the hood open....
well, a day or two later I hear a loud BANG from under my hood, pulled over to investigate that damn bolt had shot off, hit the underside of the hood, and now the strut wasn't properly secured.

2 hours later, the tow truck showed up.

as for the clunking: it shouldn't clunk due to lack of pre-loading as long as the springs are properly seated on the strut.
were the bump stops put back on properly (and in the right order) as that could be an issue?

+1
You guys should definitely show up, I think Friday night's karting is going to be A BLAST!!!
I'm even working on some kind of trophy / prize for the fastest lap times of the night.

As for SevenStock itself: trust me guys, this is THE meet to go to, it is literally the largest Rotary car gathering in the WORLD. We have guests confirmed form Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and all over the US. Some guys are even driving out here from New York!
So as usual we're starting the day off with the famous SS SoCal Caravan! Just picture 50+ RX-8's in your rear view mirror all rolling in to the show...
I know it's a bit of a detour for you guys but it will be worth getting up early.

Add me too Neiron. Also, weren't we going to Buffalo Wild Wings, or is that a no go?

@ Jedi, as far as the suspension goes, we put on everything in the exact reverse order that we took the old ones off, the springs were seated properly and everything. I read that the clunking might be because the springs are to short (stance coilovers) but I'm pretty sure they are the 200mm ones. I'll have to take a look tomorrow.

@Zin I completely forgot about BWs, we are good for that still. I'll postpone the new tat so I have the extra cash.

@Rival I'm down for the extra drive, but that's just me. I figured since we are meeting this week and figure out a plan. I think it'd be cool to have a good corona showing. We could always caravan to the caravan lol.

Mongo it's same time as usual and pretty much the same place but instead of making a right into jeromes you go left. We could still meet at the same place get everyone gathered and just roll over there after

Hey Mongo, I'm pretty sure they came installed with bumpstops, I dont see why they wouldn't. I'm gonna have to borrow someones garage again to check all that suff and make some adjustments.

And as far as Bdubs goes We can either meet at the old spot and move, or I can edit the front page of the thread so everyone knows where to go. It's up to you guys

Yeah I might have to miss the meet tomorrow. Idk how I feel about driving with no bump stops all the way to corona. Unless of course I can put them on before then.
