meet up schedule
Do you have a schedule set up. I live at the top of the hill in Victimville. we have a Blue 05 and would love to start meeting other people with RX-8s. My work schedule may or may not work as it is a 2nd shift rotating schedule so I need to know what the meet up schedule is so that I can try to attended.
Thanks

Lately our meets have been pretty sporadic. There is a beach cruise coming up later this month, keep an eye out for the thread to pop up soon. Hopefully soon we will get back to regular meets, everyone has been pretty busy the last few months.

Any one going to this next firday? Be pretty cool to have some 8s show up for this. More than likely I'll be going.

Busy man. Getting on the Veterans Affairs Bureau to get my financing for my Instrument Pilots License. I've been in San Diego/ Gillespe Field for about a week now flying twice a day trying to get as much of the hours and training out of the way so I can get my next license. Plus, since the VA only gives me $10k a year to fly, I have to burn $10K BEFORE then end of August. So yeah, harder than it seems.
Right now I am trying to get off on Saturday so i can get out there to you guys and chill. This stuff is intense and I could totally use a day off after this next week. To give you an idea of how hard it is I feel like I'm learning to fly all over again. Flying on Instruments is like the equivalent of driving while texting, changing the radio station, setting up navigation, bringing up Pandora, and talking to someone all at the the same time. Tomorrow and Tuesday I have an oral stage check and then a flight stage check going over everything that I have learned so far.
I'll let you guys know like Tuesday afternoon. Just let me know what you would prefer to do. If you all want to beach cruise, cool. If you just want to BBQ, hit up the Jacuzzi, and work on the cars, also way cool. Let me know here.

I wouldn't mind the BBQ, jacuzzi work, on the cars idea been awhile since we've done that plus I could bring the kids along for a BBQ/Wrench turn. That being said I'm down either way.
Also I was so tempted to make a comment about the oral exam, but just couldn't do it. Good luck with the training bro.

Alright, this thread has been dead long enough. Guys I hate to say it, but I'm toying with the idea of selling my 8. I drive way to much, even with living right next work to be able to afford the gas right now.
