FML: So, my car has been spraying the inside of the engine bay with coolant for a couple weeks now and it really hasn't been an issue until yesterday. The rim of the coolant overflow tank rotted off and the cap was super loose, so, I decided to replace the tank. Easy right? NO, FML, when i was taking the tank out the nipple that connects to the top of the POS Plastic radiator end tank snapped clean off because it was brittle as ****! So, NEW RADIATOR TIME!!!!! I so didn't need this **** right now. The stealership wanted $445 for the stock POS plastic end-tank radiator... F**K that. So, it looks like the Koyo radiator from Good-win-Racing is going to be the answer for now unless the cheaper Mizu Radiator is in stock, plus it's the closest location (San Diego). Either way I'm still out between 300 and 350 for a new all aluminum radiator. I guess Heffe isn't driving at sevenstock this year...

PS- All work has to be done in the parking lot at the base because I can't get the car home from base. Double FML

damn homie thats rough

sorry to hear man - i really wish i could help.

I was gonna suggest if you were gonna pick up a new oem rad, peep out BHR's radiator. I know its a lil' more pricey but i don't think you're gonna find a better quality.

That happened to me two and a half years ago. It's really not that hard after the first tear down. I bought the MIZU first through eBay and that was all off, the bolts doesn't align with the OEM fan, no where to hook up the A/C condenser, and it was missing the hangers where it hooks up to the front frame in the engine bay. So I scouted this dealer out of Cypress and bought the Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator. Here's a link from my fb when I took the OEM radiator out: The Breakdown.

Yeah most good bases do. Unfortunately I'm an AGR at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside. We really don't have ****. The closest base with a automotive hobby shop is Edwards AFB and that's like 2 hours away.
