_the thread always seem to die after picture posting from our last meet is fizzled out. dont worry the malibu thread should get busy in a week or so.
in its current state, it is a little faster than the rx8's (keith and jason know)....but not much.......

by march, i should be faster than STOCK vipers, vette z06's, diablo's, mercialago's, modena 360's, gto's....blah blah........ keep in mind i said stock! i think the fastest one on there does like mid to low 12's in the 1/4 mile...... im hoping for very low 12 to high 11's...... just need to get some drag radials so i dont slip & slide all over the track

note... im talking 1/4 mile times, NOT top speed, road coarse, or auto crossing..... they will eat me alive on all of those! thats why they are such popular cars, besides their looks, they are very versitile cars....... but on the 1/4 mile, i should whoop some ****!

From what I hear, that black RX-8 crash near Big Bear was due to driver error, not pure speed. Supposedly the driver panicked and slammed the brakes mid-turn. Luckily, nobody was injured, as the RX-8 seems to have a strong roof.

As always, play it safe out there guys. Racing's best done on a racetrack.

[QUOTE=kwescott]
I think this is one reason Jill no longer shows up. She had one close scare that made her realize why she has the car, and what she should be doing with it. I beleive her last comment (don't know who told this to us, but ti was at one of our last meets), was that she is now spending a lot of time with her Corvette group, going on rides for charity, not for thrills anymore.

Hi Guys:

Actually, just a little too busy and spread too thin these days to do a lot of things I would like to do.....

I'm back to showing my dogs again (shows are on, you guessed it - Saturday and Sunday), and, you're right

I really LOVE driving the Corvette - but don't drive it nearly as much as I would like either - have not driven it for nearly 3 weeks. I did drive the RX8 this past weekend - took it out for a nice walk - little carbon blow out. Have not had the FD on the road for probably six weeks or so...........

Anyway - hopefully, can catch up with you guys sometime soon - hope you are all doing well - I do do check the thread from time to time!

Jill

Glad to know you still check in on us from time to time. It would be neat to see your 8 right next to Carribean Spice Boys...I keep telling him about your 8. Good luck with the shows and your new rotary volume know. Lesper tells us your adding another rotor to yours...I knew you would find a way to fit another one in their.

We actually had a very nice meet this last month at the California Speedway...and did you see that we made a calendar? It was quite an ordeal, but I think it turned out well.

Where did you hear this scotty, the paper? and somone needs to get scotty an avatar. By the way the moving avatar (headlights) you made for me ketih is almost identical to konigs.

on a side note, now anbody who wants to buy an 04 evo, 320 whp stereo system and some additioanl mods that have not been tuned...so closer to 350whp afterwards, only has 25,000 mile for $26-27,000 (friend of mine from work)

Riccio, NICE TO SEE YOU! or hear from you. it's been so long. I can understand ejoyng the drive of a vette. somthing about driving 350 h.p. from the factory, and the handling is awsome to. I LOVE the new ones! that ferrari head light look is awsome. (even though they got away from the tradition of pop up head lights)

well as Keith said, I hope the dog shows go well, and you can make it back out to a meet sometime. we all miss having you there.

oh oh xrider, that might be a bucket of worms you just opened up...

Must change topic QUICK....

So, back to our rotary discussion: I just added 8 new rotors to my car a few weeks ago. Anyone guess where??

I noticed that you had the RX-8 Rotary center caps on your rims this last Saturday.....is that what you were referring to?

the other 4 are either the valve stem caps, or the lic. plate bots.... I am shooting for the valve stem caps
