Someone else took some pics... A few of the black RX8s but I guess the silver one was to quick to be caught on film:

Here's some more. I have many many more. Lots of them are really small, and if I blow them up, they will be really grainy.

Funny you say that...but it was kinda true. You were the first to run, so we had to use you to set up our shots...and many times you blew past the frame before we could get you. Did get a few...but more of your wife, since she ran later and Erica was set by then.

The Technique

Learned something very valuable today...I call it "the technique". Here's how it works. If you hit a cone early in your run, you go around pointing at all the cones until you find one that is not in the right place. If you are lucky enough to find some lazy course workers, you may just find a misplaced cone, and you'll earn yourself a re-run. One guy actually have 5 re-runs today with this "technique"...very valuable. I don't know if I have enough skill to look at the course and look for misplaced cones. I have a hard enough time avoiding cones at this point

Wow, you guys went off with the picture taking. Did you have to decrease the quality to get them uploaded? I'd be interested in the originals, maybe you could email 'em to me?

I gotta work on the cone pointing deal too. I've seen the Isleys get tons of re-runs with that "technique". BTW, I was the only one driving. My passenger during X runs was "visitor". He only posts stupid stuff that only he thinks is funny, but you can't blame him... he drives a ford ranger with no shocks and rode the short bus to school.

So, I'm just wondering if anyone else is interested in doing the runs in San Diego. I purchased the region card so that I can get into the practice events down there now...Jason says they don't fill up as fast at that we would have a good chance of getting in.

yes, the quality is cut alot...just send me your email by pm or post it here and I can send the originals to you. I've cropped some, do you have a photo editor program...do you want me to send them original size, or cropped size...or I could send both

"Visitor"...I can tell he rode the short bus from his avatar

I think Erica may be interested in taking her car to the next event, since they have a STU "L" class for the ladies.

For the most part both cal club and SD have a semi pro guy that takes pics. Just depends what run group you are in if he gets you or not. From what I can tell he only took pics during heat 3.

STUL I have heard the ladies in that class asked for a change, they don't like being STUL.

It is a good tool. Just don't blow your rerun. btw this does not work if you get a DNF, if you go off course and find a down cone your are SOL, there are no reruns for a DNF.

Pretty much. Especially when they combine the ES and CS classes into the same run group. The Miata makes a great autox car... awesome handling, and relatively cheap.
