Not the same. There's actually 3. Pettit - Hymee - Axial (RP)
Pettit is making one that is air/water cooled. They're also the only ones that have made a supercharger for the auto owners. They have 14,000 miles on the auto version. They guy that has the auto says he hasn't had any issues, and his car will smoke any NA stick 8.
Petite is actually taking names for orders right now.

Hymee has one that's a twin-screw system. They also support a 4-port setup, (not sure what they mean by 4-port, but I'm sure I don't have it, so I didn't bother to find out what it was). I haven't read all the info on it, but I believe it's installed and running for quite sometime now. They are not available yet, and there is no end in sight.

Axial Flow (RP) is one I'm anxious to see. They just did their first run with it installed, as you mentioned earlier. Don't know how much longer that means we have to wait for it. Also, not available yet, and there is no end in sight.

One thing to add. One person on the Pettit thread mentioned some impressive info regarding the setup. Including EMISSIONS!!!

Last reports: this info is not final nor claimed to be positively accurate. By Monday I hope to have more direct info to release.

Everything you need is included with this kit. A computer flash takes care of the electronics, while hardware pieces in the base kit include:
* Intake Manifold
* Fuel Rail
* Intake Charge Pipes
* Maintenance-Free Positive-Displacement Twin-Screw Blower Eliminates Lag
* All Mounting Brackets Place Blower High for Superior Oil Control
* Belt Tensioner Facilitates a No-Tools Required Belt Exchange
* Computer Exchange
* An Optional Air-to-Air Intercooler reduces Intake Charge Temps
* 50-State Legal with Carb Certification (Winter '04)
* Easy-to-Follow Installation Instructions

I'm thinking.

I'll use this post as my experimental canvas.
Bare with me as I use this to try some stuff.

I agree #3

and as for the 4 port. in an RX-8 that is an Automatic.

the auto engines are a 4 port INTAKE engine, while the 6 spedd is a 6 port engine.

for even more info, all old school rotaries were 4 ports, untill the 2nd genn N/A, they were 6 ports while the Turbos were still 4 ports. 3rd gens went back to 4 ports. is this more info then you wanted ?

Man changing that avatar to an animated gif was a pain...

Making the gif file isn't hard. I used Photoshop and Imageready.
The problem is getting it under 6kb.

Here's the fullsize version. Much better if you ask me.

nice job Cesar . If you look closely at the full version pic you can see that the cone is not in the box....even before you get up to it. You look like your in black and white...from the reflection in the side mirror. Cool though.

VIDEO ALERT!!!

I posted 1 video from the autocross practice event.
Here's the link.
I will post more later this week when I cut them down some more.
The video I posted is run #4. The camera was mounted on the center of the hood.
The passenger was Keith, and you can hear him laugh/clap at the end of the video
because I came in too hot after the finish and kicked the backend out a little.

I don't have the times w/ me. They're in my car at home.
Most of the day I was running around 57-58 sec. My best time was 56.4 I think.
I'll probably post that video next. I had the camera mounted on the side of the car, near the trunk.
It's the same video that I made my avatar from.

You're right, you can hear him. 58.971. It's the last second of the video. I'll post my times and more videos in the next couple of days.

ooh, what a mess to put that in an RX2...think of all the mess you would have with the electrical...mating it to the transmission. I think Casey likes the power possibilities of his current motor...possibiliites that don't really exist with the Renesis (at any reasonable cost anyways). Parts would be more available though....

Now, I'm sure there would be more interest if, lets say, Mr. Puerto Rico was selling 20b's.
