I was pissed cause I had to lower the quality of the avatar to get the size requirements to work. I have one that does not look so grainy... all well, still funny.

P.S. for those of you that were not there. this picture in my avatar was taken by me of some mini bike racers at California Speedway. you think it looks funny in the picture you should see it in person when there is like 50 of them little F$&kers!

even if you posted the pics on the forum, like normal...are they grainy? Post it, and then grab the thumbnail off the forum for your avatar.

busy w/photoshop cuz i supplied them w/it heheheheh.

oh....as for this weekend's meet, something came up this weekend that i won't be able to make it even for ride along. so no need to wait up for me.

and for the front plate question.....if the car is no longer in your possession, (ie. sold, stolen, totaled, or whatever the reason), do you still have to pay a fix-it ticket

sorry to hear about the tix jonathan... i think the front plate is an on-going concern for most of us in the group- except for Michael, of course, since he's legal. a good friend of mine jokingly told me once that he thinks it's only a matter of time before we ALL get ticketed <sigh> on the flip side tho, i do see tons of nice cars missing front plates (350Zs, mustangs, G35s, M3s etc. etc.) on the road to & from work each day...

i hope that none of us have to get tix'd... but with no disrespect to law enforcement, i do feel that there are some laws that make very little sense. for example, there are plenty of drivers on the road w/ no drivers licenses, driving around w/ no insurance causing accidents and then bolting, and then getting away with it. the fact that they have a front plate and evade the the police's attention does very little to help public safety, which traffic and vehicle codes are generally meant to protect. all the meanwhile, when otherwise law-abiding citizens/ drivers like us are getting harassed for seemingly such a minor infraction.

in my case, i think that if i do get a tix, then at that point i will follow michael's lead and just put the front plate on. i will be really sad if and when that happens. but, i'll eventually get over it- as there are plenty of bigger things to worry about in life...

hope u get the tix taken care of quickly and can make it on saturday.

yep thats me nice and legal like. i've already had my ticket for no front plate. since i'm around LAX all the time, which is where i got my ticket, i figured it would be better if i just had the plate on. so if they look at me all they can say is what a cool car.

Jonathan - yes you are responsible for the fixit ticket even if you no longer own the car. I had a fixit ticket on a car that I ended up trading into a dealership a week after I got the ticket. I tried fighting it and lost. Don't mess with them man....just get it taken care of and then come here and bitch about later

Yup, what she said. Would you be pissed if you thought you got away from paying for a 50 dollar fine, and then find out months later that it has swolen to upwards of a hundred dollars. Pay the fine quick...and don't fricken get rid of your car.

Anybody out there want to get a RP Short Shifter? There is a group by coming up and it is going to be $235 (20+ people) or $230 (25+ people) depending on how many. Maybe cheaper? There are already 15 people signed up and I think I am also going to do it.

Come Jedi or Toca or Zootender or Ghost or Crllce....who am I missing

yes a shorter run is fine with me. I have driven to L.A. and back every day this week in traffic. 3 hours to and 3 hours from.... I have NO problem with keeping the run shorter.

I dont want to make the run TOO short, as some people may think it is not worth comming (those of you that ONLY enjoy the run, and not the company of fellow rotary heads). but I will try and keep it somewhat shorter then normal.

any ideas from anyone?

oh yeah did I mention there is a MEET TOMORROW!!!!!?????

I'm helping a friend move tomorrow.
But, just like I schedule family vacations around the meets, I'm also scheduling my help around the meet.
I gotta be in Beaumont at 7am, and I'll leave there at 9 to head over to Pirate City Tattoo for our monthly meeting which is on the second Saturday of every month.

After we're done, I'm going back to beautiful Beaumont.

@ Casey - Thanks for the jack stands. Any word I'm my 4 little mods you were working on?
