Once a month meeting near San Bernardino

yeah... ill have a silencer on for the most part. im pretty sure that the NA renesis cant flow enouph cfm to obtain an ideal gas velocity. bends would probrably help the NA motor but truth be told, ive got turbos on my mind. if PTP will sell their kit minus the turbo (i prefer the GT35R and i can get it at cost ), ill probrably pick it up in late Feb.

I know that if I went 3 inch on my NA FC that I would loose some power, but the RX8 has more power stock so I don't know if that is a good mod for 8's or not.
But if your going to go turbo then I think you should go 3 inch because that would be good for what your doing.
As for noise I don't think your car will be too loud but it will have a nice sound.

Don't waste your time trying to get ahold of Toca, he won't respond. As for information on your build, I would spend some time talking to the guys on the 8 forum who have actuually put /modified turbos on the 8. If you had come to Malibu, you would have had a chance to talk with Fanman. He's done a lot of modifying to the Greddy setup. He was talking about a company in San Diego that has a turbo setup for the 8, with many different turbo upgrades/tuning options available.
The information you'll find in this thread will be from experience with FC's and FD's, as no one has made the turbo jump yet in this group.
Check out what Team RX8 has done. He did a custom header back system, with a single exit exhaust. What your talking about is a turbo back system...so at this point, you may just want to go from the cat-back...since you'll be changing the system with the turbo installation. That is where my experience ends...but I'll make sure to connect you to anyone I find out there who may be of help.

Malibu Cruise 8/5/06
Here's some pics Jessie, Casey and I took with my camera. We met at Beryl park and cruised down to meet up with Krazie, who was already in Calabasas....never did find him on the freeway, but he found his way.
So, who was planning on coming, and forgot about this....Ghost, Zoo....?

we had 14 at this meet....all 8's. None of the 7's showed up from RX7club.com...oh well, they missed out. Lots of things to check out, and having us down there in Malibu allowed for us to show off the mods to each other...that was fun.
I think I still have the smell of Cesar's new exhaust in my nose though....glad I was infront of you for most of the trip.
Who was behind you Cesar?

This was the first time we ever stopped at the "rock" for pictures. I think we really lucked out on this...given that we had the place to oursleves, for the most part...it could have been much worse given it was summer time, and this was the beach.....
Definately made for some great calendar worthy shots.
Just wished there was some way to fast forward the sun so we could have been there for sunset...would have been awsome.

I think Lesper was the luckiest one...that red paint against the blues in the ocean are just wonderful. Not so fantastic against Brilliant Black or Yellow.

Some more from the other side of the rcok. I think Krazie and Lesper both got some pics from over there, I'm anxious to see them.
I thought this pic of Scremn8 was nice.

saw something interesting on the way home...but than again, I'm not surprised. Always see some interesting cars down there in Malibu.
Sightings:
Ford GT
Cobra kit car (don't know whether there were 1, 2 or 3 of those things driving around that day, but we did see a blue one several points during the afternoon)
Raced out Mini
Ferrari something or other
Lamborghini (oh, I dont know which one) They all look the same to me

In no paticular order:
The rock spot you lead us to was great x-ped, lots of great photo-ops. And that tunnel was new to me too. Similar to the 101 (? near pasadena) fast and windy and narrow. It was good to hear / see you again Fanman, you going to sevenstock?

Group shot came out nice and not too pain less, liek i was telling keith we should get a few shots together with just one of each color in the picture for a possible calender cover, with so many cars in a picture like below it makes them so small just to fit them in.

just love the 2nd pic on your "Page 3" Lesper....beautiful pic....and it has all your new mods. Maybe a Calendar "center" pic. That one taken with you and Cesar in the same shot is great too, as well as the one taken of Deitrich. That little plant makes the shot...no joke.

thanks guys. im gonna see how loud the HKS system is. it should be about the same minus the 2 bends. (i actually think Turbo XS midpipe has a resonator so it should be quieter)
nice pics people. i wish i had known it was sat not sun. i would have loved to have been there.
