Race starts at 7:00....for me, there really isn't a reason to go super early. I can get home by 5:00, and then back down there by 6:30. The only thing that will suck is that it is general admission, meaning that there are no assigned seats....so if we show up too late, we get crappy seats.....

I could always just stay down in that area, since I work about 10 miles from the raceway and get off at 4:00. I may just end up doing that, and maybe meet you guys down there for dinner or something?

Jessie is that a new tach that replaces your old tach? and is this because yoru new motor will have a much higher redline? things are slowly coming together, will it be driveable to the next meet? probabely not.

yeah, the stock tach was gingerly ripped out and i softly cut the crap out of the cluster, then smoothly pryed the auto meter tach in its place all joking aside, it was a major pain in the ****, and i hope everything works *crossing fingers*

the car is far from driveable.... i dont even have my motor back yet (called engine builder, but no pick up, and website is not working.... stressing me out a bit)..... but i dont think this thing will be fired up till mid october

heres a few more pics that keith took yesterday while we sandblasted all my engine parts

well... just called engine builder again.... hes really sick, BUT the block is built.... he just needs to put my oil pan on and modify my turbo manifold, and its ready for pickup.... he said to call at noon tomarrow to see if hes finished.... he also scored me a 1.00ar divided p-trim exhaust housing for my turbo for $50 (retail $200-300)

lol... its the exhaust housing for my turbo.... there are many different sizes for different applications... anywhere from like .50 to 1.75... a 1.00is a very big housing.... the "p-trim" refers to which style turbo it fits.... being divided means that the exhaust flow never meets till it hits the compressor.. this give a better, smoother flow, therefore more efficient power... the 1.00ar refers to the size of the housing.. the bigger the housing, the more power is need to get the turbo spinning... small housing on big motor= super fast spool, but maxes out at low rpms, therefore a wasted poweband.... big housing on small motor= very laggy turbo, motor being overworked to spool turbo, and turbo never being fully used..... 1.00ar on bridgeported rotary= spool around 4k-4500rpm, and maximum efficiency around 7500-8500 rpm a match made in heaven the turbo i bought came w/ a .60 housing, which is made for 4 cylinders... so i needed to change it

im sure i went overboard, but you asked

note... just checked turbonetics website and the housing i scored costs $394.00 mines used but in perfect shape.. cant beat $50.. im so freakin happy
