yes it could be. when he pulled it apart he said everything looked fine though. I first suspected a bent fork, or a faulty slave cyl. ... after talking with him I am leaning more at the flywheel (wrong one maybe) or wrong wrong throwout.... we'll see.

poor Jesse. I know what it's like to take 3 steps forward and 2 steps back..... time after time....... boy do I know this feeling.

you know, I thought he said he got a new flywheel, one that was lightened....but the one I saw attached to the engine was like the one we pulled from our 8's...the one with the counter weight built into the flywheel, not a seperate counter weight like the one's we added. Did he forget to change the flywheel?

the counterweight and flywheel are 2 seperate pieces on this flywheel.... and i just measured the flywheel overall diameter and distance from motor to flywheel, and they are exact.... so that crosses off that as a problem and the throw out bearings are also the exact same size.... IM GOING CRAZY!!!!!! well, back to ripping hair out!

I would go with the oldest link in your chain. You have all new parts except fork, right? I would think the new components would be good.

Jesse, I know we talked about it, but are you SURE you didnt put the clutch in backwards?

are you SURE the slave cyl is pushing all the way out? it is a new master right? (yes I know you said it looks like the problem is from the fork or internal as the fork looks like it is sitting back, but check it anyways)

there are only a few reasons why the throw out would not reach the p plate, but it looks to me like you have covered all the basis here. you did say the fork was sitting on the pivot ball correctly right? still sounds like a bent fork to me.

ok.. well, i figured out the clutch problem! somehow, the forks spring wasnt on the pivot ball... it really looked and felt like it was, but when i actually got the spring in, it snapped in... thats when i knew it was really in there... so we quickly put the engine back in.... (unfortunatly, i was so anxious to see if i fixed it, i forgot to put my centerforce pressure plate back on DAMN!)
things that got done this weekend......
-reinstalled the motor
-got clutch hydraulics working
-reinstalled all interior from the seats back
-put all engine parts back on
-installed oil filter relocation kit
-started to install fuel system components

heres some pics.....
interior as of yesterday

interior today

engine as of this morning

engine as of now......

another......

It's a pain to find it.

Biggest pain is the damn connectors.

I had to install mine 3 times to get it to work, and each time I snapped the connectors in place.

Jesse: now that you figured out what was the problem, do you think we'll still see this BEAST at SS9? *crossing fingers*

Here's my Zaino thread that I started almost a year ago and have just been updating since.
I think my best work is on page 2 with my most recent Zaino application. I'll probably put on at least another 3-6 coats before SS9.

Hey that's looking really nice Jesse. Let me know if you or Dave would like help with wiring. What are you using for a coolant temp gauge? I might have a present for you...

the world map is a satalite photo. and you can use the zoom to the streets and houses. i zoomed in on a house with your name that had a pool. most people names ended up on streets or lots. jedi's name was on the freeway.

Is this due to the Satalite photos being 2 or 3 yrs old?

The Tsusnami shifted the world axis 2 degrees.

depends on if you zoomed in when doing your location, or if you used an actual address. For me, I just used my zip code, and then placed the icon close to where I live...I mean, I don't want everyone knowing exactly where I live, right?
