beleive it or not Jonathan, breaking up with her is a good thing. The baby thing would have been hard for you even though you had the best of intentions. Now you can move on with your life, and spend some more time as a kid. Enjoy it.

SS9 is a once a year thing. I'm sure you can ask for the specific day off now....make up the work on a different day. There is no way your gonna give up showing off your doors on the biggest rotor day of your modification life.....This is important to you...make him understand that.....I'm sure you might even get sick.....that day, start practicing your sick voice and fake cough. I'm not joking. No, really, I'm not. You're going.

@ jorge: the kid was hers, not mine

@ keith: my intentions were to be for the best of both her and the baby. i guess it's something i have to start from the beginning, not pick up from where somebody else left off.

I got my car back from the recall.
They changed the sparkplugs, which were new since I installed them 11k ago.
They did the new flash, but no new engine.

I don't know if it's possible, but I think the new flash changed my exhaust note.
I sounds louder when I get on it full-throttle/high rpms.

cesar: did you tell them you experienced powerloss? If you didn't, they would not have done the test drive / compression test = no new Engine.

Just dropped mine off at Tustin Mazda and am driving a CX-7.

For those of you thinking about FI:

Richard Paul has finally broken his silence about power figures for his Supercharger!

Now I think there is going to be some help from better exhaust meaning hign flow cat or midpipe. That is nothing different for the 8 then anything else. You want to make 50% more power don't you think you need to get that much more exhaust out?

I have had some inquires from people asking about pulleys, I have yet to be convinced that they add anything you can measure. Then of course it slows down the supercharger when you get one. It's a no-brainer.

If you must do something right now get the exhaust mods forget the pulleys.
Resist getting any computer componants as that is being solved as we speak.
If you already bought a controller we will try and help with reprograming but there is no promise of ready made maps for final tuning.

Air intakes will not work with this unit as we use some of the room for other things. The kit comes with it's own intake. Same goes for the strut bar, it's in the kit, others will not fit.

I'm pretty sure they drove it around. I had about 1/8 tank missing when I picked it up.
Oh well. My car hasn't had any issues regarding performance, so I wasn't expecting a new engine.

Nice that you got a CX-7. Is it fun to drive? Is there much turbo lag?

I dropped my car off in the morning yesterday, and picked it up after work.
They're down the street from me, so I didn't need a loaner.

Man, you know what that means;

FS: Mazdaspeed Sport Catback Exhaust System
FS: Unorthodox Pulleys
FS: Greddy Strut Tower Supports

I'm glad I didn't get the intake too, even though Keith kept trying to convince me I should.

I didn't really need a loaner either since my office is 2.8 miles away from the dealership but I couldn't pass up an opportunity to drive a CX-7. I didn't get a chance to completely open her up since there was a cop driving behind me the whole time but off the gun it feel fairly responsive and the turbo lag isn't all that noticable. (i'll report back again tonight after some more 'agressive' driving.

My service writer was kinnda weird because I had to tell him I wanted the test drive / compression test done and he said, "oh don't worry bro we flash all the cars and drive them for this recall". I hinted again, "well, since my power has been kind of weird, I'm excited to see what the compression test reports back" .... silence......

Well, I set my navigation for "trace icons" so I'll be able to see how far they drove and exactly where they drove. (I'm sneaky like that). I'm hoping to have my car back tonight... wish me luck!

Cesar: I can't wait to see the finished product at SS9! Richard let me see the prototype about 2 or 3 months ago and even that looked pretty cool.

You seriously considering it?

With out a doubt. The only reason for getting it is to smoke the G35/350's that always try to race me.
I drove my dad's car (Carrera 4) last night, I think he has about 240 to the wheels, and it was fun. I can't imagine that much more on my car and it's lighter than my dad's.

I don't think it will happen before the end of the year though (assuming it's available that soon). The wife and I are trying to plan a trip to Chile to see her family.

Of course, there's always the "Keno" route. Hmm...

group trip to Vegas for "playing Keno for a Supercharger"!!
Going to Chile? wow, that's really cool Cesar. How long has it been since you two were back?
I got a chance to spend 2 weeks in Guatemala last year and I just loved it down there, so much fun to just get away and be with family. Hmm, next time I'm down there, I might have to sneak off to Chile for a few days...I always hear great things.

I've never been to Chile. My family is from Argentina. Last time I was there was 1984. My wife hasn't been to Chile since the 80's either.
