scremn: have you thought about doing the aero kit first? Might be more cost effective that way and it'll give us time to find you a great deal on an MS wing.
That and I've never seen a car with an MS wing that didn't have at least the aero kit, not sure what that'll look like.

I'll look around to see if I can find the place that I ordered my MS wing from.

Ok I'll come on Saturday but 8:00am? Sheesh don't you people sleep! Can I just run my car through the car wash first then come over and wax it? This whole clay, zaino thing sounds good, where do I buy it? It also sounds tiring!

And as long as I'm at it, what about tinting....I almost got my windows tinted but i had a choice of 5% (which was too dark) and 20% (which seemed to light), is there anything in between? Or is 20% good?

Maybe for the 14th we can starts late (or take our time) do a run on GMR or up to Mout baldy for pics and then eat lunch at hit up the D1 event. In other words make our cursie or meet up closer this way (Rancho) for the D1 later in the evening? Actually all of us pkaring in Irwindale might be pricy and dangerous (for the cars), we could car pool over there?

yup...... it's 3:53...... AM....... and I am at work in Rancho........ yup......... this sucks. :/

got a call at 2:00 this morning. the a/c died. our server room is 97 freakin degrees. the really crappy part is I am here alone. (outside agency gave me a call) my work does not even know I am here. you know how freaky it is to be in a big 5 story building and be the ONLY one here..... kinda weird!

......... ok that is all.

Speeddemon has the wing with no other aero parts....maybe photochop his car, make it blue, rais eit like 8 inches, put lambo doors on it and you'll have an idea of what it would look like

8:00?? Damn, the things I do for you guys... (j/k)

Yes, you can show up at whatever time you wake up, lazy......a drive in wash would be fine...save us time anyways

As for tint, usually a shop will have 3 different options, from light, medium and dark ("limo"). I went medium all the way around....I think it was around 20%...maybe even 30 or so. I don't recall but I do still have my receipt and I could check.

I don't go dark anymore since I got tired of getting the tint pulled off and reapplied each time I got a ticket. Plus, I don't want to give an officer additional reasons to pull me over for my lack of front plate.

I think Cesar, Casey and Loren all went darker than mine...so you may want to check the differences on Saturday before you make your choice. You may also want to see the differences at night, because the tint does make it difficult to see out the windows at night.

yup...come on over.

I missed out on a first coat of z5 with Cesar last night. He called and offered a first coat...knowing full well that my car is gonna take some time, and a lot of Zaino product and elbow grease.

Cesar, how did the zaino go last night. Maybe, if I get my zaino stuff today, and you have time, we can do a first coat so that Saturday isn't all about my car.

Jedi, any suggestions on what to do to prep my car for Saturday?

i know i have limo all around but i am not sure what percentage they call it. The back windows are very dark at night sometime too much but then again the windows are very dark during the day as well and i like that. you can see that in almost any of my cars profile pics.

Zoo....I know it is hard to keep track of stuff on this thread as we talk quickly about a lot of things....but Jedi posted the link for the Zaino product a couple pages back.

This is not it, but it should take you to the correct web site.

www.zainobros.com

I bought the " ZKIT-1 Zaino Total Protection Show Car Kit "

Limo is always 5%.....the percentage is the amount of light let into the car.

Zoo: I went with 5% non-metallic ting on the rear of my car and 20% up front (but I swear I can't tell the difference half the time)

Keith: Not much really needed as far as "prepping" your car, just have the camera handy for great BEFORE / AFTER pictures. Oh, and we'll need LOTS of beer and margaritas! haha.
The key to Saturday is going to be organization on everyone's part. Make sure you've got your towels ready, a couple clean buckets, and the garage cleard out for us.

Keith, do you have a nozzle thingy for your hose? (that SO did not sound right....) If not, I've got a pretty good one that I can bring over.

@Keith - Zaino is tiring. I spent 4.5 hours on it. With you and Erica, and maybe some help from me, you should get everything done in about an 2.5 - 3 hours.
I used 14 towels (16x16), 1 mit, 1 app pad.
Do you have enough MF towels? A mit?
We'll need dishsoap, which I know you have, I've seen you use it. And plenty of MF towels. Spray bottles for claybar. Call me when you're close to home.

@Zoo - Check out this place. http://www.xlnttint.com/auto/chooser.html
It's where I had my wife's car tinted. They show you samples of different tint levels.

- Cesar -

Yes. Otherwise, with all the cars at his house on Saturday, there won't be any time for drinks or DDR.
