Thumbs up

Another great meet ya'll-
I have to do a "Free Journal" for english class so I did it on the san bernardino meets :p (i cant think of anything else to do it on) so here it is

It is an early Saturday morning, when I woke up to go to the monthly San Bernardino RX meet. This is a meet where people that own a vehicle with a rotary engine meet up and go on a nice cruise through scenic mountains and highways. For this month’s meet, we went up to Big Bear Lake using highway 330. These meets are usually five hours long. We are at the meet location for an hour or so (9am-10am), after that we head up to the designated cruise route. Before we get into the mountains, we go to a local gas station to fill up. After this, we hop onto the freeway and proceed to the bog bear route.
You know you are in the mountain, when you can smell the fresh, clean air at an elevation of 4000 feet. You see nothing but windy roads, and lush green trees. At 10:30am, we go through the first turn. We’re on a 2 lane road, on one side of you, you have the edge of the road, and on the other you have cars traveling down the hill. One mistake can cause a fatal accident. If you pull to the right, you risk falling off the mountain, if you pull to the left, you risk hitting another vehicle.
At this particular meet, we had 15 rotary vehicles, meaning that at times, we had a line of 15 RX-7s and RX-8s. Drivers that would see this line of well designed vehicles would stare at us, wondering what type of vehicles we are driving. Some may comment asking if we are all part of a club or something of that nature. All in all, the “Once a Month San Bernardino Meet” is a great meet. It is held on every second Saturday of each month. Once you start going, it is difficult to stop.

That 4th picture is un-freakin believable. That looks (as Paris would say) "Hot".

The only problem with the third pic is that you lowered me as well. Now I'm only 5'10'' Fricken funy though, short little pudgy legs...I think I laughed so hard I woke up Erica.

Would look nice lowered...but no way it would be driveable like that. Reminds me of my S10 that I used to have airbags on. Oh, I wish I still had that truck......

HE HE HE!!!, your funny spice boy!
nothin special to my car, all stock (besides the intake). kwescott knows how to take those turns to, he wasnt far behind me coming down the hill. untill he started taking pictures, then i was pulling him pretty hard.

you were right there with us, you were not exactly falling behind! but i have to agree with you, on the way up when snowfl8k was behind me, i was not exactly pulling away from her on the short little runs we got to do.

Driving like that makes me want to go to the track even that much more. at least on a track you can push 100% and if you spiun you hit nothing but a cone.
Spice boy, Cesar, Krazie, your coming with scotty305 and myself on the 23rd right? i think its like $65 and you get several runs all day.

anyways, talk to you later!

(In my best girlie voice)...yes, Vipers, I would like to see some pictures of my white RX8 lowered....(I guess this doesn't really work since I'm logged in as myself...maybe I'll log in as Snowfl8k next time)

Erica is busy right now, but I know she would like to see that. But dont do one with her in the picture, she is already really sensitive about her height

Casey, you ever made a Rotorlution banner for an Import Racer? I have one that has the "Import Racer" banner on the front windshield instead of "Mazdaspeed"....thought a Rotorlution Banner in black with Red lettering would look cool.

I think there may be a market for scaled versions of true graphics kits. I can imagine that a shop like Modern Image has trademarked some of their designs..but it would be kinda cool to take those designs and make them small enough to fit the Import Racer RX-8's. Just an idea that I had because I was trying to find Erica a white RX-8..and the only one they sell has just brand names on the front doors...no graphics like the "Borla" one I have in black....just an idea.

i can make you a red and black ROTORLUTION for your windsield, that is not a problem. i can also make small version of graphics, as you have seen this is not a problem either. what ever you want man.

:D

like i said, i think it would be cool if everyone went to seven stock with a ROTORLUTION banner, even if you dont want to run it after words, it would still be cool for just the day. :D (and it would make me feel special and make for some cool pictures.)

if you did the red and black banner, then you could use the red decepticon in the corner, and paint your calipers red. then it would all go with the red interior, and the red REVi i know your going to buy.

Well guys, you are all mkine me ancy about changing ro adding somethign to my car. I really want to keep it stock for the most part so i am thinking cosmetic only. Any ideas for an accent color on my car. I am going to tint soon, adn i also want to pain the calipers (color?) and do a few chrome add-ons. But like Krazie said red is just common and expected. Green? Yellow? I suppose we all get this way just before and after ours meets.

lesper, we've gotta get the group discount with cllcccclccclcee on the tint and stuff. but anywho, here is my DEFINITION PAPER on "Zoom-Zoom" feel free to read it and comment. it is a 1.5 page paper.

enjoy!

P.S
... anyone know where jill is?

Zoom-zoom is the term that is going to be described throughout this essay. Zoom-zoom is the emotion for motion, it is that exhilarating connected to the road feeling any car enthusiast gets. According to Mazda, zoom-zoom is defined as the emotion for motion.
Being in the mountains with nothing but windy roads, and lush green trees gives one the feelings of comfort and excitement both at the same time. The thought of effortlessly steering through the windy roads is amazing. Starting at the outer side of the turn, beginning to take your right foot off of the accelerator, and then accelerating again at the apex of the turn which is the corner of the turn. From there you accelerate into the center of the lane.
Zoom-zoom doesn’t only have to be experienced on the roads. In fact you can experience it even better on a race track, which is recommended because you don’t have to worry about running over a deer, or hitting a child. When you are on the track and you miss-steer, you hit nothing but a construction cone, which would cause no damage to your vehicle. As opposed to being on the road in the middle of the mountains, where you can hit the side of the mountain and cause extensive damage to your vehicle. When in the mountains, you also risk falling off of the road and plummeting to a painless death, which you cannot experience on a track.
Zoom-zoom is the emotion for motion. It is that connected to the road feeling any car enthusiast loves to experience. It is an unexplainable feeling. It is what it states to be, the emotion for motion which means that one has a passion or emotion for being in motion. It also is a great advertisement line to get people to purchase Mazda vehicles. I think the Mazda commercials show it best, because at the beginning of the commercial, they have a vehicle speeding through the windy roads at a deserted location. Then after that, they have a kid that looks to be ten years old whisper “Zoom-zoom”. After that, the zoom-zoom soundtrack begins playing and the viewer of the commercial feels uplifted.
Some may argue that zoom-zoom is an intangible experience and it does not exist, and it never will. For those who think that way, they must not have a performance vehicle to experience it. I don’t think one can experience the emotion for motion in a family wagon, or an SUV. It is a horrible thought to think of someone can experience zoom-zoom in a family vehicle. That is like going skiing with a sled to experience the skiing feeling. You get a similar feeling, but not the exact feeling.
