I have a questions about using insurance:$500 deductable means that I would have to pay up to $500 in damage out of my own pocket and the insurance company pays the rest right? In addition do I have to get the same bumper or will insurance let me chose my bumper of choice if it the same price? Lastly If I go through insurance, will my premium be raised? Any help would be great.

the more things change
check on how much the bumper cost in total. you may come out better just paying for it out of pocket. but that depends on how much it cost to replace. your premium should not go up because it can not go against you as an at fault accident. but then again we are talking about insurance company's that have free raine over our future rates...

x-ped: you are responsible for the first 500 in damage, insurance will cover the rest
- you do not have to get the same bumper but insurance will pay for the cheaper of the two. shoudl be possible to upgrade to something different if you can get a good price on it or are willing to pay the difference
-premium might go up but it depends on your individual driving record; any previous accidents? are you at fault on this one? tickets, etc etc. if you hit something on the road, you shouldn't see an increase.

Thanks to everyone who organized & came out yesterday. Despite all that happened, I think the meet was a success and a fun day.
Thankfully Erica didn't get hurt, and it's comforting to know she's taking it so well and hasn't let things dampen her spirit.
Hope that the Snowflake gets fixed good-as-new soon and that the repairs aren't too costly.
Am also really sorry to hear about your triple bad luck yesterday Jun... For the bumper, what Michael & Jorge said is correct. The best thing is probably to first determine the total installed price of the bumper you want, and then decide if it's worthwile to go through insurance. Your insurance won't go up for a single claim, but if the repair cost is around $1000 or so, then you might be better off paying out of pocket, only because it protects your clean claim record, which is a good thing. On the other hand, if your record has been clean the past couple of years anyways, then it definitely won't hurt to use your insurance too- since that's what it's there for. As far as the ticket goes, if your driving record's been clean the past 18 months, you can get rid of the ticket with traffic school. Many of the online schools are good, but there is also comedy traffic school if you decide to go in person. I think we should all make it a habbit from now on to check our tire threads before we go on the cruise.
For both of you guys, let us know if there's anything we can do to help out...

Razz: what are you getting painted? Just the new bumper or getting parts touched up?

Drifting
Hey guys, here's the info on the drifting thing I was talkin about. Take the 60 to etinwanda and go south on Etinwanda. When you hit the intersection where the Farmers Brothers is on the NE corner take a right or go west. At your first stop sign take a left/South and you should be entering an industrial park. Listen for screeching tires, or look for a bunch of 240's. It supposedly goes down at about 1pm every Sunday. It is free and a friendly atmosphere. If anyone asks how you heard about it just tell them your were reffered by a guy with a Silver T2 who knows the manager of an Earl Shieb in Upland. My friend, the manager, built a blue/purple 240sx for his son who is there alot. I'll be out of town for the next 2 weeks so I won't be able to make it till December. If anyone goes let us know how it works out.
Thanks scotty for the link

Hwy 138 Cruz and Meet 11/11/06
1 of 10....yes i said 10!
Got some good moving groups shots in the turns, i belive this is the same route that produced the cover shot of the calender last year. Some of the pictures were a little washed out probably due to the weather but Sopheaks moving shot was horrid but i think i fixed it for the better.

I like the shots behind the trees a lot and it was pretty neat how the 3 blacks lined up with rodolf (sp) in front.

Michael, yeah I decided to keep the graphics for now. I figured I only take the car out a couple tiems a month and when I do have it out I might as well draw some attention. :D
any pics of your graphics?
thanks everyone for the great pics! I was looking forward to getting some new pictures of my car. the only pics I had of it with the new graphics were in front of my house, or at seven stock.
also thanks for the great day on Saturday. beside snows little mishap I had a blast even without the full run. lunch was awsome, shoot was awsome, and hanging out with keith snow and zoo after was fun also!
I wanted to set up some sort of GMR run for this weekend, but I forgot we have some work that needs to be done on the old house and it HAS to get done this weekend.
we also have some work that needs to be done on the new house, it ALSO HAS to be done this weekend. of course you all are welcome to set something up, but maybe the weekend after or so we can set up a GMR run that I can go to. I really want to do it soon. it looks like TONS of fun!

weekend of the 25th and 26th is taken with the girls solo2 practice on the 25th, and the championship event on the 26th. If you guys are interested in competing, or checking the autocross out....mark your calendars for the 25th and 26th. Speed, Snow and I will be competing on the 26th, along with the two Jason's (Ulllose and MP5) and Rick (SPt05)....as well as any of the others who've said they would consider coming out (Cesar, Denward, Loren).
Come out and see some RX8's on some sticky/sticky tires.
