Racing Beat is open 8-5. I get off work at 3:45 in Redlands.
On a good day, it's a 1hour drive. I'd hate to go that whole way and not make it in time.

Hey Cesar:
Got your PM but I think Erica might be able to swing by there easier then I could. besides, with my new speakers, I don't think I could fit all those parts in my trunk.

Quick lesson in HTML code.
When you want to use html code, you need to tell internet explorer where it starts and where it stops.
The code is enclosed in brackets [the code you want] for the start and you add a "/" to show the end [/code].
Examples of code are BOLD or B, CENTER, or IMG for image.
If done correctly, all we see are the effects, but not the "[" or "]"
"[Bold]" tells it were to start, and "[/BOLD]" tells it where to end.
When done correctly, you'll only see the section in bold. I used "" above so the code is blocked from working.
A good example is the quote above. When I choose quote on a post, the forum automatically adds the "[ QUOTE=scremn8 ]" your post then the "[ /QUOTE ]"
This is bolded and centered correctly cause you don't see the code, just the effects.
The codes are not case sensitive, and some of them have several ways of doing the same thing.
Also, some of the code used in this forum does not work the same way in other websites.
*****Now for the picture inserting lesson*****
If you go to this thread, https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-multimedia-photo-gallery-6/officially-introducing-my-yellow-8-a-36925/
you'll see pictures of my car. Click on the 1st picture, and you'll see the picture only.
At the top, in the address bar, is the address of the picture.
That's the info you need to have.
Highlight the address, and right-click & copy or ctrl+c.
Now you have the address of the picture copied to your clipboard.
Start a new thread, and there you have 2 options.
Option 1 - When your in the "Post new thread" or "Reply to thread" screen, there is a small icon that looks like a yellow square w/ a mountain in it.
That is the insert image icon.
Click that icon, and a window will pop-up asking you for an address.
In that window, you type the address of the picture you copied earlier.
Option 2 - Type [IMG] then paste the address you have copied, then type [/IMG].
It should look like this [IMG]'https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=36925'[/IMG] without the quotes.
Either option will give you the same results. The code [IMG] the address and the end of the code [/IMG]
Also, keep in mind that internet explorer automatically resizes pictures when you are looking at the picture alone, but if you link it, it will not be resized.
In other words, if you link to a picture that is twice the width of the screen, then that page you posted it on will be screwed up for everyone.
Here's an example. I went back several months and edited an old post so it wouldn't affect this page.
I linked to a picture that was wider than the screen.
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...64#post1362964
One more thing -
Many times you'll see a post w/ a small picture under the fullsize picture.
Basically, someone starts a new post, uploads a picture.
After the picture is uploaded, before submitting the post, they click on the link to the picture. It pops up a new window, and they get the address of the picture.
Then they just add it to thier post.

also...if you look to the bottom left of the screen, there is a box called "Posting Rules". In that box is "[IMG] code is On".....click the [IMG] and it will take you to a page with some of the codes that this website uses, and it even gives you samples of how to type in the codes.
heheheheh, I can do the same thing ...now we're just making Michael jeolous.
