yeah I got some updates for ya.
the ten rear studs have been replaced. in doing so he found that both front wheel bearings are bad.
the intercooler connectors and crappy hose clamps have been replaced with nice connectors and nice T bolts.
the Turbo gasket has been replaced. it was kinda fun taking the big turbo off. the stud did not just fall out like he though. it had snaped off and peice stuck in the manifold. only way to get it out was to drill it out which of course ruind the threads. nothing a blot and nut cant take care of.
then the car god dropped on the jack putting a nice chuck/chip out of the side skirt.... that was free of charge from Casey.
the oil line to the turbo had pulled off when we removed the turbo... this took a while to fix. it seemed like everytime we did something, something else would go wrong.
all in all though it got pretty far. the only thing left to do is get 4 more t-bolts. (he didnt order enough) get the car tuned (which is proving to be more dificult then it looks) and replace both front wheel bearings.
the only worry really is getting it tuned and he is also worried about braking the 93 db limit the track has.

This is just bad CARma from the time you removed the jackstand when I was trying to get the pilot bearing out.

Only applies if you don't know the right people. There's been plenty of cars (and announcers) that break the db level.

thanks for the update Speed....what goes into the replacement of a wheel bearing? Looks like it will be ready then...maybe not properly tuned, but good enough for him to start earning points in SM.

wheel bearing consist of removing the wheel, removing the brake calipers, removing the brake rotor, taking off the big *** nut that holds the bearings in place. knocking them both out, packing the new bearings, and putting it all back together. not major, but not as easy as changing oil neither.
Ceasar, that was on purpous though. thats not the same.

are you going to go the meet or the track (or both?)
this month some of us are not doing the meet we are doing the race practice at California speedway. the meet will still be held, so if you were interested you could go to the meet, then the track and meet the rest of us. its all up to you.
go to the first post to find more information. let me know if you still need help.

Well I would like to go to both. My car is stock for the most part minus the hard hitting stereo system. But still going and taking it to the track would be fun. Do I need a helmet or anything like that? What about cost to go on the track?

red top is a cheaper version of the yellow top. been doing my research.
the yellow top will give you the same cranking power even if it has ran down
very low. the red top works like a regular battery but with more cranking amps
