thats what she said
scremn, bring your computer to me and i will fix it (if you want)
xrider, the video card can cause the computer to not turn on and/or reboot repididly (i know you work for evga, but its happened to me)
detrich, sorry to hear about your car... i know how it is to see your car "Wrecked" you feel as if there is no point in keeping the car anymore. just out of curiosity, what dealership did you take it to?

Gerry, would window tint hide the damage on the windows?

I think if we clay barred Detrich's car or even buffed it, I'm almost positive we could fix the water spots.

Alright guys, lets ban together and get Gerry's car back to Tip top shape! Keith: Zaino party at your house again? Figure we could do Gerry's car and your car for loaning out your garage.
I've stil got Z2, Z5, and Z6 (heck, I'll even break out my super secret Z8).
We'll need a buffer if the waterspots are bad enough. Did X-ped use a buffer on your car when you two got together a while back?

This coming weekend is not good...with the meet taking up pretty much the whole day, and then I will need to prep one of our cars for the race on Sunday. Still don't know whether we will be using the white or black 8 at the track, but will bring the black 8 for Saturdays meet, given that the white one still needs some new street tires and probably isn't the safest to drive, even on a slow cruise. That would be up to Erica though...if she wants to bring her own car in addition to mine.
I know you guys will be out this way, so I'll talk to Erica to see if we have garage room available if you want to just try and work on Gerry's car after the meet....
or we could always try for the following weekend?

thats what she said
i am going to try to make it to the meet this saturday...
what we will need is a keyboard, monitor, and the computer. it does not need to be put back together, but we will need to find a power outlet.

After the meet is fine with me. maybe you could use the extra man power to help get the car ready for Sunday - in repayment for use of the garage? I'll have to whip up another batch of salsa

Erica's world famous salsa! Loren I chowed down on the stuff last time we hung out over there. It's amazing how well we could Zaino with all that salsa, beers, and even a few margaritas.

I like this quote for saturday
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling -
live your life so that when you die, you are smiling and everyone around
you is crying. - Author Unknown-

thanks everyone... i definitely appreciate everyone's support & input & help. i'll be at the meet on sat but am not sure i have time to do a full zaino day- only because i have to be at my cousin's house at in chino hills @ 5pm for family dinner for chinese new year. maybe we can schedule it for another weekend.
at this point- my main hang-ups are the razor marks over the front windshield & rear, passenger-side push out. if i have to change out the windshield, then i think i'm done with this car, because i don't think it will ever be the same again. and, what burns me is the stupid service mgr is the one who told me to do it and that it would be safe. and, then when i showed him he completely denied everything. i had opened a tix w/ MNA b4 going to the dealer- so i'm hoping they will help. but will have to see.
the water marks are pretty extensive too. jun's been incredibly nice and has been helping me over the past couple months. we used porter cables and went over the entire body one time already. it helped but the spots are pretty extensive and the windows are still covered. i filed a claim with Procter & Gamble. and, they "might" reimburse the detailing costs- but who really knows. i've gone to 2 different places so far. both places said the marks are fairly extensive and will need some work. the guy that came by yesterday said it will probably be a 10-12 hour job for about a grand, but that he thinks he'll be able to get majority of the spots out and looking new again. <shrugs>
i'm going to call the bmw dealer today and see if they can recommend a window vendor and see what my options are. they usually have fairly decent referrals. but, mazda seems to be all thumbs and basically useless. i'll keep everyone posted.
thanks again.
p.s. the other sad thing is that i used mr. clean on my beamer too just not as often since i drive it to work and it's usually just dirty. it's not as badly harmed as the 8. but, still. i think mr. clean autodry should be pulled off the market asap, because it's very deceiving- ie initially it works great, but slowly over time ruins ur exterior.

totally up to you Jerry. Depending on what time we get done with the run - we may be able to get your car claybarred and zaino'd with all of us working together on it in time for you to make it to Chino. Happy New Year!!!

Give me 1 square inch to test . . . I will bring my magic potion. ( not zaino ) and I will let you know where you stand. Snow is right too . . .with several people we can zaino a car in about an hour, maybe less.
