"Look Ma, No Mo Gear Grind" refers to the F-in Amsoil. Upon changing my clutch, and replacing my Royal Purple Trans fluid with Amsoil, I began to get some severe gear grinding in 2nd and 4th gears. The initial thought was air in the clutch system, so Casey and I blead the system. Problem initially went away, but slowely returned after about a half hour of driving. Thoughts then went to bad fluid, or failing slave or master cylinders. We replaced the clutch fluid by draining the system completely, and then refilling with standard DOT3 fluid. Again, problem was gone, but reappeared after about a half hour....
Casey and I thought about replacing the trans fluid with regular dino oil at this time, I bought some, but was so frustrated we just stopped for the day.
We then turned our thoughts to a failing slave or master cylinder. There was a TSB for the master I believe. I checked my extended warranty plan, and found that I had coverage up to 100,000 miles....so I went down to the dealership, but of course...couldn't get the damn gears to grind.
Denward then called and said hecould pick me up some Dot4 Motul Clutch/Brake Fluid...so I thought, heck, why not...better fluid might resolve the problem. Again, blead the system, problem went away, but then returned.
DEnward called the next day and said he could get some Royal Purple...so again, I thought, why not. Figuring I would be going down to the dealership the following day with another attempt at grinding the gears with a tech in the car.
Pulled the Amsoil out, replaced it with Royal Purple....and problem is gone....still gone, now one whole week later. Car feels/drives just like it did prior to the clutch swap.....
so.....F Amsoil At least in my case, it didn't help my car.

you might be able to rent lap timers from willow springs directly.

Also, Redline is doing Streets CW April 20 for cheaper. A couple hours of track time is enough for me.

only thing to really boot hp in this car would be a super charger or a turbo, since you have an AT go with the super charger. Cesar would be the best person to talk to in this thread about more power. all the other mods make very little difference.
