Wow... that is horrible! 7 days already?! Ah jeez....
Well, I got my estimate and everything today. It's going to cost roughly 6500~ (don't remember exact figure) and it'll be done probably in four weeks if not earlier.
I asked to keep the front fender and rear tail light housing... so it's mine!
They said I the base of the A-pillar was bent... so they are going to try to unbend it out or replace it. I had no clue that you could replace it... but they said they could. Well.. I learned my lesson and this is my punishment.

I know a few of you are going to the BBQ, as well as a couple from the RX7 site, no one has really set any times so how does 9am at Vipers work and a departure at 930 so everyone can get gas? otherwise if you got a plan already let me know thanks

It is from 11-5. I was planning on leaving around 930 from my house (15 FWY & 210 FWY area). Wasn't planning on a caravan, but maybe if you guys are planning on going south on the 15, I could catch up with you guys somewhere south of the 10 or 60. I'm gonna wash (1 or maybe 2) the cars tomorrow morning, but will check back to see what plans are.

Just let me know which off ramp you would like to meet at and we'll see you there around 10:00. my cell is 714 8097602.-Keith

Same goes for Vipers and FC3tech...just let me know where you would like to meet up. The Jurupa offramp/onramp are long straight ones...and pretty much the last ramps before Limonite.....I would suggest Jurupa. Any other suggestions?

Im gonna go wash cars now and Ill check in a little bit.

...oh, and good morning to all those up this early

I'll be taking the 210 west to archibald then...should have my black and SnowFl8k's white with me. See you around 10:00 (or earlier?).

Just a question...I was planning on taking the 15 to the 91 to 55 and exit PCH....was planning on taking PCH to Warner. Its nice section of PCH to cruise. If I meet you at Archibald and the 210...it would meen a couple of miles of backtracking. I'm just on the south east corner of the 210 and 15...

What was your scheduled drive/plan to get down there?

Vipers? FC3tech? you gonna be able to meet Lesper, Snowkl8k and I at the Arco on 4th and the 15?...anyone else?

My cell is on the previous page for those who think they may be able to make the 10:00 meet time at Arco. If you're running close, please call me so we stay. I doubt we will stick around the gas station for very long...maybe just to fill up.

We will be going from the 15 S to 91 W to 55 s to PCH if anyone wants to catch up...

...off now. See you guys at the beach....

Not holding out.
Vu called me on Saturday night asking if i was going to the autocross at Norton AFB. I was like "what autocross" long story short there were some oopenings still and i didnt even find out i was going to go untill late that night. If you ceck the mesage boards in the solo2 web sit eyou will see the practice they were talking about. this is why WE didnt know wabout it.

you said you were going to Vegas so i didnt call.

Man i creamed some cones though! got a nice black smudge on my front end. hope it comes out.

oh and at Norton its all concrete so that was pretty cool to run on concrete. Makes me realiza just how much i need/want another set of wheels and some slicks. there was an RX-8 there with a set of Koni shocks, stock springs, racing tires, and an exhaust. he was running just above the vetts. it was sick. (he took me for a ride) it was AMAZING how much faster the RX-8 is with real tires and some shocks.

to put it into perspective, my best run was a 58.6xx one of his runs that i notices was a 52.xxx i am sure that was not even one of his best. granted he also is a better driver i am sure, but still his car would stop on a dime, when mine would just start locking up. his car would hook when mine would just slide out.

I was getting good at getting the rear end to come out on me through some of the turns. :D

Vipers got to hear a run over the phone :D

I saw your name on the 11th meet. glad to see its all worked out. still keeping my eyes open for that other one on the 24th (or whatever it is)

THIS IS POST NUMBER 200!

Was nice to meet speeddemon32 and see his sweet looking yellow 8.

The cone mark will come off with wax.

I think 52.0 with you in the passenger seat. 51.4 by myself. Then after lunch made a tire pressure adjusment and found a 50.8. :D

That site rocks, to bad that is the only event of the year there.

Wont be at the sept 11th event, will be in Kansas trying to get a national championship, but will see you later this year.

btw, if you want to pick up some time, stop shifting so much, put her in 2nd and leave it.

I knew they had something going on at Norton, but I didn't check the Solo2 message board to read about it. I was back from Vegas on Sunday morning. I should have read it after all.

This time out to Vegas, I took my wife's car. (Company car so gas is free, @ $2.95/gallon that makes a big difference.) Anyhow, on the way back from Vegas I wished I had my car. I found the perfect spot to test that electronic governor. The fastest I've gone in the car was 130 on the way to Vegas, but now I found the perfect place to check that 148 top speed on the way back. I'll be trying that in the near future.

really? ill try that again. i was doing that at first and it just seemed like i could use the first more. after i tried shifting into first on alot of the end of the track i picked up a lot of time. but i know that thats just not right. ill try going back to more of a second gear run.
( i also figured that i just cant go through the turns with as much speed as you could, thus bogging the engine more then you comming off. )
I figured you would be at Topika, I am sure we will meet up again at a future practice. maybe you could take a ride with me and give me some pointer!
