Are you sure you saw the R8? Its not even in production yet. Only the CEO of the company and the guys who had the one for testing in Vegas have them. But no those are not mini doors they actually cover the air intakes for the engine. I am not sure about the fule door.

I think I was actually driving in 2nd gear.....so, yeah, we had slowed waaaaaaaay down. Just glad it wasn't something bad that happened, just some miscommunication....like when we were on our way up and the FB turned around...he did just wave me by, and I figured he was overheating and needed to turn around. I was planning on driving on and just explaining this when we got to the top...the stop halfway up was fine though...better safe than sorry, right.
On the way down though, I knew Loren was going to stop, because he told me....but maybe would have been a better idea to tell the person he was in back of....as I was well up in the pack on the way down....

yep it was an audi that i was following.
and it had little mini doors in the back.
at least they looked like mini doors.
the plates were out of state. i mentioned
to my friend that it was arizona, but they could have been vegas plates.
but that was the car i saw....

I remember this rule form -/+5 Malibu runs ago. I was the one behind Michael and noticed Lesper wasn't within view of my rearview mirror and so I slowed down.

Just messin around with the stock coner markers.... seems to look better in person. Camera picks it up as darker. I will have to see what it looks like in the sun. Maybe cover then in white, THEN Yellow to make then a little lighter.
We will see.
We will see.

well i hate to break the news to those who doubt my seeing this car. but i did see it and i would not lie about seeing it if i had not.... one says there only in vegas then someone else says only in newport. plates were out of state not cali. plates.... so my best guess is they drove in from what ever state they came from. so i would imagine they were not limited to one spot to drive the car, meaning they could probably go where ever they wanted. which is how i saw this car...

I have to agree. I want to see what it looks like in the day light though. the picture is much darker. and like I said, maybe wrap it in white then yellow.
I will keep it on for the Pro Solo, then I will most likley change them back. just want to be differant for a little bit.

You sure are lucky to have this, as your first car. You're also lucky that your learning how to drive a stick with this car..very easy to learn.
Maybe on the first crsuie you come on, you might want to just sit passenger with someone else....

welcome Darkmage. Driving a manual transmission is something that just takes LOTS and lots of practice to master. Fortunately, the RX-8 is a forgiving car.
I'd suggest you come to one of these meets and ride with someone for the first cruise. Some of these drives are quite 'agressive' and I think you'd learn a lot by riding with an experienced driver (which we have many in this group) and observing shift points, breaking, acceleration points, etc.
hope to see you at a future meet...
