nope, shouldn't be. Subs are non-directional.

....... I disagree.
when I had my RX-7 I had the subs facing me, it sounded ok..... my friend that knows what he is doing begged and pleated for me to turn the subs around. I finally did.... man I was so happy with the way it sounded after that.

Thanks. So I've been driving and totally forgot that I have to add at times oil to my car. What type of oil or brand is best to add? Some peopel told me synthic oil is no good and to go with the just regular. Is it true that synthic oil is bad? What oil would you guys suggest? It has 33, 000 miles on it and I do drive it at 80 to 100 everyday or like 3 times a week at least. I don't have a turbo either also. That's all my info that I think you need. oh yah and it's an 04. I just needed to know the best oil I can use and anything about the synthic oil.

Hey Darkmage.
there are a TON of threads about synthetic oil but I'll give you the short recap. Synthetic oil is FINE for the RX-8. I personally chatted (at SevenStock 8) with the guy in charge of Rotary Development at Mazda, Hiroshimo and he said synthetic was perfectly fine.
I choose not to use synthetic as I just don't see the need for it. I don't autocross my car and if I did use synthetic, it would just be all that more expensive. (since you have to add oil all the time)
I use Castrol GTX 5w-20 and it seems to work just fine. The general rule of thumb for someone driving as much as you do is to check the oil every weekend.

ok well it used to be "DONT USE SYNTHETICS IN ROATRYS" This was due to the synthetics leaving a residue when it burns.
A piston engine is not supposed to burn oil, but a rotary does. the deposits left from the synthetic would jam all of the seals causing them to not move anymore causing engine failure, or a loss of compression at the least.
Since the RX-8 came out (and I think the synthetics have gotten better) Mazda has said it is ok to run synthetics in rotary. Until just lately I have never run synthetics in my rotarys.
The amount of time between checking your oil will vary depending on how you drive the car. the closer to the floor board you have that gas pedal, the more oil is injected into the engine. because I beat the hell out of my car I have to check it regularly. but someone like Sherri (Zoo Tender) might not need to check it nearly as often because she does not hit wide open throttle nearly as much as I do.
now with that being said. I personally don’t bother checking the oil until the oil light comes on. when that light comes on I am 1 quart low...... no big deal, just add oil ASAP. (unless I know I have an autocross practice or something like that coming up, then I will check it before hand.)
Also don’t use a synthetic if you have dino (dinosaur) oil currently in your car. and just use a good 5-20 (right?). there is something called the sun burst seal (if my memory serves me right) on the back of oil bottles. this means it has been certified for use in gasoline engines. pretty much any major brad will have this. if you go with "Bobs Oil" you might be pressing your luck, but Castroll, Pennzoil, Mobile, blah blah blah, will all be just fine.

I liked the show.... just didnt like the ending...
Bull run is pretty cool. nothing spectacular, but cool. I dont like the challang that they do. I feel if you earned your way into a good spot, it should not be at risk of being taken away from you. (if you saw the show you would see what I mean). but still good entertainment.

Ok so me using Synthetic is better then conventional or is there no difference? Yes even though I am getting rid of one 8 for another I still want to enjoy this one for as long as I have it.

Holy YouTube postings Batman. I go away from the thread for like a couple hours, and look what I miss. I feel bad for Cesar, as he is going to have a lot of stuff to look through when he gets back from Chile....

damn... i hope congress can reel in the iraq conflict and bring all u guys home soon. i listen to npr every morning and almost cried this am, because i am amazed at how brave the u.s. soldiers are in afgan & iraq- esp the ones wounded for life. they have so much faith in god and courage, despite all the terrible things that have happened. i used to play starcraft on b.ent with this guy, Isaac, who was stationed in iraq as a missile tech for the f-16's (i think). he finished his tour in 2005 & bought an wrx sti- <lol> but, he hated it over there and said a lot of them felt that they were just there to bring capitalism to iraq, as opposed to true democracy. god bless all our troops.
