I believe the event is $65 to register. Don't need to bring much...a helmet if you have one but they have loaners....some painters tape if you intend to tape off any areas where cones might hit. I think you need to be there between 7-8 if you want to walk the coarse? Casey - come on man, help me out.... :D

the little plugs(lawnmower plugs) are just for looks
The TEC 3R(engine managment) coil packs have a waste spark. The waste spark has to be grounded, so Rob at pineapple came up with the idea to thread in some xtra plugs. Keeps everyone guessing!!!!
He told me that the pics dont do justice to how good it looks. I cant wait to see it in person. I also had the lower and upper intake powder coated(extreme chrome) along with the water pump housing and some other things.

Any chance of having some spectators at Pomona...do you get to bring some people in, or do we have to pay to get in and watch you light the tires....

Yeah your right stealth. it is a 13 REW (3rd gen engine for you RENESES people that dont know what a 23B REW means)
I did remember that after i posted about it being a RENESES.

well I have some good news and some bad news.
Good news, the car stared for 5-10 seconds. then shut off. for those 5-10 seconds I had one hell of a smile. after working on it, and trying to get it to start for so long, it was nice to hear her run finnaly....... untill it shut off.
Bad news, we can't get it to do it again. we tried for another hour and NOTHING!
it was all we could do to get it to start for those few seconds. we used oil in the chambers to try and build compression. anyways, just wanted to let you all know. I don't know what it means, but at least it did start once..... briefly.
the wierdest thing is that we can not get it to do it again. we didnt change a thing, when it shut off, we tried to just start it again, and NOPE!
all well, i guess we will just keep working on it. by the time we are done with it, i am not going to have a starter left.
I have never had this much trouble starting a simple carburated engine before. It's not like some wierd injected sensor problem or something.
from what most people are saying, 50-60 pounds of compression is going to make it REAL hard to start...... guess they were right.
oh yeah, and obviously i got the car back from the shop, it had new longer rear axle studs put in.
I did remember that after i posted about it being a RENESES.
