we are playing with carbs right now. we put a smaller carb on and that seemed to have helped. we then de jeted the carb, and that seemed to have made it worse. so next we are going to increase the jets and hope it gets better.
one other thing i noticed, is that when RPM's go over 6,000 the tach starts to freak out, i am wondering if the coil that the tach is on is starting to break up at high rpms???? i am going to try replacing the ignitors, and the coil to see if that helps.
as of now we will not be going to the drags to race (should to watch though) unless something changes.

damn. Sorry to hear all the bad news.
Here some good news though. Had fun in Malibu..met a group of 12 lambos, raced a Ferrari down the canyon, and got to lead the pack this time.
Xped, one of the guys that is a regular, found the Lambo's forum and found a pic of me

OK BIG BIG sorry kc,mesh, keith, snow, krazy, viper jedi and all other members sorry for not posting for a while. well since the ss8...my office had on extra duty, I am running from LV to SD to LA for a while now....hey if you need to curse my *** out..call 760 559 5740...and let it rip.......but on a better note..can't wait for the next meet...thank you KC for answering krazy for me..hey viper how is that car going?. kc I am glad the car got started" for what ever time it did", on friday morning i am free to up to be there for the next attempt if you are going to be up at your dads...I do want to hear that car {chough..cough cough.. vrrrrommm pruuurrrr}....hey keith love those pictures hope you don't mind I stole the one with you and snow talking with that guy...also KC.. what about the cards for us.. I am seeing so many RX when I go out in the field.. but me in my ford ranger.. they may not take me too serious..I think handing them a card with a rotary smile may work..

they are ready to be made, got the final design done. i just need to go give them some money one of these days....
you didnt tell your story about your dash.....
i will be working on it off and on this week, i will NOT be taking it to the races this weekend, although i will be going to the races still to watch. I am hoping to get her ready for the next/last race in Oct.

Yah, we still meet every month. 2nd Saturday of the month. We didn't have a San Bernardino meet this month because it fell on the same day as Sevenstock-8 down in Irvine. We all cruised down there together.
Next meet should be the 12th of November.

Hmmmm, I'm new too and might want to go. Just moved to Rancho and just bought my rx8. Not sure I'd fit the group though. I'm a middle aged mom with a AT. :-( How'd that happen!!!! Okay so my cars not that fast but it handles nicely and I promise to NOT wear a mini skirt and leave the kids at home. I've seen another red 8 around town now who's is that?

Which one of us, there are a few of us with 8's in town and there are some that do not post or attend. I drives the VR parked near the old winery on Foothill and Haven, Kraize Kave drives a TG at a computer shop on Foothill and he has an AT also. Hope to see you there!

Zoo, you are more then welcome to come. We used to have another lady that came to the meets, her name is Jill, we are not sure what happened to her, but she no longer comes.

anyways, like i said, you are welcome to come. it's not about racing, being fast, or having the best car. (although it is fun to show up with a new mod or two). It's about hanging out with some new friends, and talking about a great car..... untill the conversation leads to other things. :p
oh yeah, and Lesper4 has a red 8 in rancho.

Hahaha I agree with Casey (speeddemon) it's really not about going fast at all! It's just fun to gather with a group of other RX-8 owners and look cool cruising together.

Did it have a body kit? Cuz if it did, it was probably SnowFl8k.
