you should do paint your calipers first... that way you wont have to jack your car as high as you would with your springs on...

if it even makes a difference for you :p

P.S i got my orange engine paint from pep boys today - it can stand tempuratures of 1200 degrees farenhight. Dupli-Color

lol....that high-temp paint is total BS IMO. back when i had my first car i used some on the manifolds to make it "look cool". low and behold, when the engine was put back in and started up, after about 5min. the paint started to burn off the manifolds they got so hot.

it was fun while it lasted. never putting on any kind of paint, even if it's "high temp paint" on the manifolds ever again. the paint on the engine block is still fine though

if i paint my calipers.. ill definatly go red. i wish there was a big break kit out there that has proof to shorten stopping distance. not that i need them. i dont think ive ever felt the stock breaks fade.

engine paint (from what i hear) does not contain a certain chemical that allwos for fade free, stain free, long lasting paint. I can not verify this with personal experiance. But what i can tell you ios that vipers used yellow engine paint on one of his cars, and it worked fine. Cesar i belive used engine paint, and they did stain after a while. I used caliper paint, and have had NO problems with staining, or fading.

as for the brakes. if you all want my two cents, I have the cross drilled and slotted rotors, and i have NEVER had brake fade, and trust me, i have used them. but to be honest, i dont remember ever having brake fade with the stock rotors. .... then again even though i beat the hell out of the stock rotors, i do beat my car up a little more now then i did when i was on stock rotors.

mostly sucks, but bills got to get paid...damn bills.

With regards to your paint issues...I heard the same thing Speeddemon said about the difference between engine/manifold paint, and caliper paint. Caliper and manifold paint ar both made for high heat, but only the caliper paint has the chemical protectant. Both should stay on your rotors the same. Just one is more likley to stain.

Speeddemon, SpiceBoy, Cesar, anyone.....you guys coming this Sunday to malibu with Lesper and I. Come just this once, lets show up in Rotorlution force and have a blast. This meet looks like it will be the biggest one yet, and should be a for a great day. weather looks perfect, and it may be ourlast opportunity as we approach rain season.

Lesper and I aremeeting up at the 210 at the Fruit street offramp at 9:00. Come on out. You say you will, but then something always comes up. Lets put those things to the side just this weekend, and have something to talk about next week when we meet for the san bernardino meet.

GO Team (cricket........cricket.........cricket........... .)

Actually, I used VHT caliper paint.
The problem I have is that I don't clean them very often, and the brakedust on the fronts get really bad. When I used brake cleaner and scrubbed them for a while, I got them clean, but it was a pain.
I don't think the problem would be that bad if I cleaned them more often.

Looking forward to seeing/hearing 300MPH cars again..... its been a while. I love the smell of Nirto Methane in the morning.

I wish the Malibu meet was saturday, i dont have any plans saturday.

I would love to do Solo2. I'm in. It was the only reason I kept my stock rims and tires. Otherwise, I would ove to sell them, get 500 bucks, and make space in the garage.

Speeddemon...sell the damn tickets on ebay and get your *** in the caravan to Malibu.
