Alright so im thinking about getting my car painted white but im not too sure. havent decided. So to help me decide im going to you guys.

Anyone know a good and decent shop that does good work in norcal preferably close to bay area. Also i want it cheap.

You normally get what you pay for with paint jobs. Cheap paint jop=cheap work.

it would be cheaper and look better to trade in your black car and buy a white one.

you will hate what your car looks like after getting a cheap white paint job.

the previous owner had it painted black. used to be blue. i believe he had it sanded down and then painted so it was legit work but i want white. i bought the car cuz i got a good deal on it. idk where i can turn it in and get a white 1 unless you know someone who wants to trade? also im stilll paying off the car loan on it.

well yah thats why you have it sanded down and prepped properly. im just curious to know how much that would cost and where. looking for lowest price on good quality.

ALSO if you read the above post i said "the previous owner had it painted black. used to be blue. i believe he had it sanded down and then painted so it was legit work"

Maaco Signature service will probably be at least $2k. They often have good painters, but poor prep/tape work.

Something that looks similar to a factory finish will be $6-7k at a good body shop. Maybe start looking here:

most production paint shops won't sand.
i had a friend that worked for one day body and paint.
he had a guy pay top dollar for a paint job, and got something a kid could
have done in his garage. oh and my friend was the manager

Checkout grandprix autobody in downtown, or jungs autobody in diamondbar, might not be cheap but I think they'd do a good job

between the wing and the hood i think I spent near 1k.. so you can extrapolate out from that for the price of a whole car

not really though, That price included the mounting of the wing and the mounting and tweaking of the hood. I know he gave me good deals on both and the finish is perfect.

My 8 was hit a few months back and Eric fought with the insurance companies to repaint the entire side of my car.. after all was said and done the other guy's insurance ended up paying A LOT for my paint alone.
