![Question](https://www.rx8club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I just saw an RX-8 ad on television... At the end it says to see your local Mazda dealer and it lists Courtesy Vegas, Courtesy Henderson and PEOPLES in NW Las Vegas.
I checked the MazdaUSA.com Inventory site and they don't have any RX-8's listed for Peoples, thought the dealership is in the list.
Anyone on the NW side know if they have any 8s?
Does any one know anything about this new dealer, is it associated with courtesy?
Thanks

After speaking with a sales rep from the Courtesy in Henderson and a rep from Peoples Mazda it seems that both dealerships are owned by the same company. When i asked what type of deal they might possibly give me and would the 2 dealerships compete over price they didn't want anything to do with it. So the company that owns both places still has a monopoly on Mazdas and can charge whatever they want. Both have said that the 8's are selling fast but in all truth i have only seen 2 on the road so far.
I might end up going out of state to purchase mine even if i have to drive it 1,000 miles back atleast the motor will be half way broken in when i get home.
O and if anyone has gotten lower or MSRP around the Vegas area i would like to know seeing as the dealers here have no chance in hell of getting my money. :D
(btw my first post on the boards, but have been lurking for a couple months)

Yeah they are overpriced as well from what i could get out of the Rep, but i don't know for sure. I'm actually going down there on saturday to test drive the 8 again this time with my friend and sister and see what they think of the car. I'll let you know if they are charging after a trip down there, the guy actually told me that they had about 20 of them sitting at there storage lot, dunno how true it is or not but it doesn't seem too be working out too well for them by charging an extra $2,000.
One of our family friends works at a different dealership and i just happend to see him tonight and told him our little predicament(sp?) with prices here and he said he would call a couple places and see if he could get me a deal and if he couldn't i'm gonna buy it from a place up in Chicago that offered me MSRP right off the bat on the car. Yeah might cost $500 to ship it down here but i would rather wait a week and pay $500 than pay 2.5k+ markups and other **** Courtesy is trying to throw at us.

I am from the greater Chicago land area and I also thought about buying it there and shipping it here. My only concern is that I'll get poor service treatment when the car needs servicing since we are in a 1 dealer town.
According to the mazdausa web site inventory search, there are 61 RX-8s in the Vegas Valley inventory. Maybe the increase in inventory will encourage our local Mazda monopoly to become more realistic with pricing and dealing, but we will have to see.
I hope it goes well for you this weekend.
