Place to crash in SoCal!?!? April 2nd or so.
Hi everyone,
So I'm making an appeal to fellow RX-8 folks (no pressure!) for a place my girlfriend and I could stay for a night in early April. For the record, this post was her idea hah...
Background: my name's Andrew, and I'm an RX8'er from New York. My girlfriend (who lives near San Francisco) and I are taking a 9-day road trip through southern California from March 28th - April 6th. We're taking her Miata (yay for 38 MPG!) from her home through Yosemite National park, down through the mountains, then hopefully through the greater Los Angeles area, as far south as Oceanside, and then north along highway 1 all the way back to the bay area. We are REALLY easy-going travelers and are not planning this thing out on a day-by-day basis, only a rough idea of where we're going to be at this point.
We'll be tent-camping in some of the national parks, and staying with a few friends in very southern cali as well as Santa Barbara. We've never been to the crazy-large Los Angeles area before, and are planning on doing so, but we're poor and cheap college students and all that jazz (we're both 24 years old, fyi) so we're trying to avoid plunking down lots of $$$ for hotels if at all possible. Soooo anyone have a spare bed and a shower for a few tired mazda-motorists on a tuesday or wednesday evening? I can promise you we're fun folks and will bring offerings of beer and stories from the road.
If this doesn't work out, it's not a huge problem, but any advice on cheap places to stay in the area? I hear that's sorta difficult and possibly sketchy....heh
Anyway, just throwin this idea out there, any and all offers appreciated. Let me know! PM me, or email to elysium19@gmail.com Thanks!

You know, I'd probably ask the same thing lol... Of course she is, and she knows more about cars than 99% of men, so that makes her even hotter, to me at least.
"rest areas" meaning like places off the highway with bathrooms and stuff? Yeah, that doesnt sound good at all. Heh....we're just trying to save a few bucks and meet some new people, so we would certainly find a hotel before stayin overnight on the side of the road.
That's awesome, thanks man. There's a good chance we will take you up on that, even though "Love Sac" sounds sketchy hah I will get in touch well beforehand with our tentative plans, we're still working out a few details and what/where we want to see. Thanks!
