Registration Pahrump NV

Anybody located in Pahrump NV in here? Do they perform an emissions check on your area? My car is currently registered in California, but may not passed emission when I renew it. How do I go about registering this in Pahrumph? Do they require a physical address? Would a P.O. or a Las Vegas address will do? Any help is appreciated... thanks...

This must be an 04, and your first smog year is comin up soon?

Shouldn't you have another year? When did your car first get registered in Cali? Was it new?

You need a current physical address and drivers license in Nye County Nevada. Not as easy as it sounds but it can be done. If you have a Vegas address then you have to register in Clark County and pass a smog test here. If you try using a PO box then you will need utility receipts with rental receipts to register it.

Smog is not due until a couple years or so away, but the DMV is policing emission recalls now a days, and my local mazda dealer has been pretty lame about flashing my ECU due my mods... I'm looking into alternatives of getting the car registered outside California. Any other ideas in here are appreciated...

We never need a list for going there.

From the year 2000 and up, you have 6 years until you SMOG your vehicle here in Cali.

As far as MODDS, if you have the EO# or C.A.R.B. approved numbers, you are fine. But if you have and reflash, like RB street or race reflash, you should be okay. Your numbers should not be effected with the reflash.

I SMOG an STI with an Reflash, and the numbers came out clean and passed.

Just my Two Cents...

The car is not due for smog yet, but the dmv registrations requires a reflash that my local California dealers wont do due the "shocking mods" they found in car. "Great Scott, it has a V-tech on it!!!!" An alternative if anybody knows a Cali Mazda dealer that would give me the reflash certification that the DMV needs.

Don't forget you will also need to change your drivers license. Will that not create a problem in Cali?

To my knowledge there are no members in Pahrump. We have a quite active group in Vegas and no one from there has stepped forward, posted or ever come to a meet. There are 16 counties in Nevada and I find that only five have an automobile pollution testing rule and one of those is near non existent. The 11 others only require that the pollution controls that came stock on the car be kept but there is no testing.

Only because of California residents and Las Vegas residents playing games with vehicle registration is there a problem in Pahrump about registering a vehicle.

I am not familiar with the auto pollution rules in Cali but the rest of the country is a free enterprise system. Can not a few dollars change hands???
