Rotorfest 2 8/18/07
From the RX7club:
http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=669514
So we had a great response to our feeler thread and have decided to go ahead with it.
The official date is 8/18. start time is high noon. Food should be ready around 1pm.
A 5 dollar contribution would be appreciated to help cover the cost of the food and drinks. There will be Hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, sodas and what ever any one else would like to bring.
Same place as last year. Treasure Island, bay area. Every one is invited, tell your friends. Parking will be by generation and all none RX cars will have there own area.
No drama, just good times.

Update for those who are attending

I am working on two different things for this year's Nor Cal Rotary Fest event.
#1 Getting a small AutoX track and timer setup, set up in the lot next to what we didn't use last year.
No promises, but with any luck we will have a little racing action available for those 18+ year olds with valid insurance, valid driver's licenses, a helmet, and a car that passes inspection (SCCA Solo II rules- see below*) and they are willing to run through at their own expense if something is damaged (participate at your own risk).
#2 Coverage of the event by the San Francisco Chronicle & SFGate.com
<*edit>
Your car must have a working seat belt, a good return spring on your throttle linkage, working brakes, a securely fastened battery, tight lug nuts, well-packed bearings, no excessive play in your suspension, and an interior free of loose articles. Street tires must have measurable tread depth and no cord showing. Less than 80dB at idle.
