RX-8 mechanic shops in Bay Area
Hi -
with all these talks about upgrades and performance enhancements makes me wonder if there are any qualified mechanics out there. I know from the past w/ my 92 300ZX, the dealership isn't an option. Anyone from the Bay Area/San Jose area that knows of a trustworthy place for some mechanical work, ranging from simple bolt-on to major engine work?
--Alex--
ps: is there an RX-8 club in the San Jose area?

Hey Alex,
We do have M2 Performance in Concord, about an hours drive from SJ. They are one of the best RX-7 tuners on the west coast. I suspect they will be on the forefront of RX-8 tuning when they're released. Theres also Rotary Performance (very nice guys) in Pleasanton and SR Motorsports. The best dealership for RX work would probably be Sunnyvale Mazda. Ivan is their RX machanic and he knows the 3rd gen RX-7 inside and out.
