Greg,
That's a perfect spot to meet up before the meet!
Keep in mind that the parking for FSC will be on the lawn section and space is limited so I'd like for all of us to roll in as a group to ensure we get good parking and can all hang out.
Let's be at that Chevron no later then 10:00 am so we can all arrive at the meet a little early for premium parking.
If you guys haven't registered for the car show, do that right away as this meet is quickly approaching!
I've updated the 1st post to reflect the pre-meet up spot.
dlum: I'm going to look into seeing how many people are coming from the OC and maybe we can roll up there together.
PM me what city you're coming from and I'll try to pick a central location.

alright guys, with this meet quickly approaching and Greg finding a spot for all of us to meet up the question now becomes: Who wants to drive out to Oxnard together so we're not all lost or arriving at different times?
The way I see it, we pretty much have two groups of cars that are going to be there.
Those that live in Ventura County:
Gregs
Lebren
Konig
RXZOOM
ZOOM-I-DO
Those driving from OC / LA County
Where do we want to meet up? I used to make the drive out to Thousand Oaks every other weekend so based on experience, we're going to want to avoid the 5 freeway like the plague.
I'm thinking the 405 to 101 is going to be the way to go on a Saturday morning.
Seeing as how a few of you guys have the 22 nearby (Newcastle, Atilla, Tilt) , why don't we meet up near CSULB and just continue Northbound from there all the way to the 101?
Thoughts?
Found a gas station right off the freeway, just north of where the 22 meets the 405

there in lies a bit of a problem.
Danny can shoot down the 605 and back track a bit but dlum has a clear shot to the 101 from his neck of the woods so I'm not sure how much sense it would make for him to drive all the way to LB to meet up with us.
I'd ideally like to only have 1 meet up spot because making additional stops to meet up with more people will only delay us even further and complicates things.

18x10.5 +15 with 265/35 all around (: they fit so niice!! i'll need some fender work to be able to get a full lockout turn though ): and i'll have to rip out the fender liner before i can drive it anywhere. also i have to drop the rear a little and add maybe .5-1 camber, which will put me at -3 (not too bad i think, right?). i don't think i'll need any additional fender work (except the fronts) though! i think it'll clear.

Caravan info
Those driving from OC / LA County
Jedi54 - RSM
NgoRX8 - Rowland Heights
Atilla - Anaheim
Scremn8 - San Pedro
Tiltmode - Orange
Dlum125 - Arcadia
xdeedubbx - Hawthorne
In order for us to arrive on time to Greg's meet spot we will need to allot 2 hours of drive time from Long Beach. (google maps says it's 1 hour, 38 minutes but lets give ourselves an extra 20 minutes in case we run into any LAX traffic, etc)
We will be meeting up at a Shell Station in Long Beach at 7:45 am and leaving promptly at 8:00 am.
This will give us just enough time to top off the cars, grab some coffee and hit the road.
1790 Palo Verde Ave
Long Beach, CA 90815

Once we arrive in Oxnard and rendezvous with Greg we'll have some time to stretch our legs and will be arriving at FSC approximately 20 to 30 minutes before the event opens. This should allow us to have premium parking for all the RX-8's.
This is a very tight schedule and I want to make sure we all get parking on the main lot so please make sure everyone is on time and ready to go Saturday morning..
If you have 2 way radios, bring them for the drive out to Oxnard and most of you should have my cell phone, if not PM me and I'll give it to you in case you get lost, are running late, etc.
Post up if you can make the caravan in LB
