also what class did Jennifer run in? does she run BS also? man you two kick butt! one of these days I am going to run faster then you....... that's the day when Hell freezes over huh?!?!

MP5, what was it like when the sway bar end link came off? was it VERY obviouse somthing was wrong? (I would imagine)

Kwescott, that sucks they didnt have any fun runs, I was really looking forward to seeing if those changes made any differance...

what were all of your times? mine was:
58.xxx
53.8xx
54.xxx

(exact times are in the car)

The endlink most likely came off sometime before the event. It was obvious something was wrong as soon as I came out of the first sweeper. All I got was wheel spin when I tried to put the power down. I tried checking for any visible problems between runs but didn't find the culprit till I went back to the paddock after my runs.

Anyways, I think my times were:
57.xxx + 2
56.xxx + 1
63.xxx + spin, but no dnf

Nice job man, 53.8 is impressive stuff for your first event.

Come on now.... The whole SB thread is one big long off topic post.

Top secret mod.

Jennifer runs BS open with the boys at local events.

My best clean 52.2, coned a 51.8
Jenn 53.4 clean

If the day comes you can run heads up with me in my stock car just remember you are still to slow for BSP.

My official times were

59.804 (even though the sticker the guy gave me said 57.804)
59.567
58.712

the sign of mediocrity...as well as painfully slow consistency.

Look mom, no cones.....clean racing today.

Fontana Solo2 Pics (2/12/2006)-Speeddemon32

Pics are by driver. I got all three runs, except for one exception. I only took pics at one corner. This was much easier for me given my poor spot way off to the side of the track.

Too bad Cesar couldn't make it out, or any of the other guys who had share interest. Maybe next time.

The Track in San Diego is easily 15-20 seconds longer...much more straights where you'll get up to the end of 2nd gear. Lots of high speed corners.

Interesting to see the same shot and looking at how we each took that corner. Shows the different styles and speed of the drivers.

Notice Speed in the background

And here's what it looks like when you have no front sway bar. Man, that sucked. You still did well given the circumstances you were given today.

Thanks again for the entry into today's event. I promise not to put anyone on the spot like that again (I hope).

--oh,. and by the way, let me know if you hear about anyone who is interested in selling there SSR's anytime soon. 5 pounds a wheel, that would be nice.

I'm trying to get Erica interested in runing next week in San Diego. We'd just bring my car and double register it.

maybe we can post one post indicating everyone's times, from best to worst. That would be cool to see, regardless of car class. How much time penalty are cones?

57.000 + 2 cones is what?

I forgot you're running STU where you can run a wider rim. Might want to check these out: http://www.good-win-racing.com/mazda.../21-1051b.html

Those are fricken yummy. I'm wondering if I could get two birds with one stone and convince Erica to get these for her daily driving...then switch them for track day ont my car....

she wants gold

If we can get this done, I would love to get a set of red luugs just for race day.....oh, I'm dreaming already..maybe even get some bigger tires.

Two questions....does anyone think that a 9.5 inch rim will be difficult to use for daily driving (if Erica agrees to get them for her daily driver)...and wide would we realistically want to go (255?).

Second question....would this be a better upgrade at this point...if I had to choose between the MS suspension upgrade (sways, struts, springs) and rims/tires.

Cones are 2 seconds a piece, therefore you officially beat me.

Goodwin racing is running 275s on those rims. You want to go wide with the tires, that's the whole purpose of the fat wheels.
