ok so I am toying with the idea of running SD this weekend in STU with Keith. just not sure I want to drive that far.
should I decide to go, I would have to buy a SD points card right? $30? plus the entry fee $25?

you wouldn't need the SD points card unless you wanted a permanent number. Just the entry fee if you are not planning on ever going back down there for practices or championships. I went for the card to get a number, as well as a greater shot at getting into practice events. Entry fee is 35 I believe, 30 for SD card holders.

Not quite right. SD is a little different than CalClub.
1. You need an SD Solo2 card to do practices and events. It's $30. This does not allow you to earn points though. They used to have a one-day temp number deal that was like $10 but not sure if they still do.
2. Entry fee is $35. SCCA members pay $25.
3. To earn year-end points, you need to join a club and compete in 2/3rd of the events.

Sorry guys, I'm gonna have to miss San Diego. I am not a flake, some significant life changing shi* happened to me and I'm gonna be busy for quite awhile. I will expect to see results and pics, if possible. Good luck gentlemen. Pray for me too, please. I need all the help I can have right now. Thanks.

Keith,
I'm really to hear about what's going on. My thoughts are definitely with you and Erica during this time.

Turned out to be a nice day weather wise. We didn't have to deal with rain or even a wet course. Results were typical for B-stock:
Isley: 58.4
Me: 60.0
Some other guys...
In fun runs, ULLLOSE was able to do a 57.4 with cone. I got it down to 59.1 clean. The top-secret mod I gave him seemed to work well on course.

All you girls that did not show missed out. The course had a few slow turns that were not much fun.... But the wide open 2nd gear slalom and hitting the limiter twice in other spots made up for it. Weather was great, wet for the first run group, but the rest of the day was great. Took 6 fun runs at the end of the day.
58.4 was my fastest run time
Fun runs I did a 58.0 clean and 57.4 with a slalom cone... Then I did a couple of runs in a Miata and ran a 59.7.
