it's because you've spent SO much time driving an Auto. I was like that as well when I got my first Manual. It was an '86 Mazda B2000 with power NOTHING.
IT was odd having to shift, anytime I got near a hill I was a bit worried, but drive by drive, day by day I just got more used to it.
Now it's kinnda funny because I'll get in a car and when I go to start it, my leg naturally goes looking for the clutch.

Ha, I learned to drive a stick when I was 17. I had a used car, and my dad was looking for something more reliable for me.
He came to my work, picked up my junkie car, and returned later w/ a Ford Ranger.
Gave me the keys and said, "Do you know how to drive stick?".
I said, "Nope." He said, "Well you better learn if you want to get home."

that's AWESOME! sounds like something my dad would have done to me!
I drove the truck for YEARS till some biotch T-boned my dad when he borrowed it one day.
I upgraded to a Pontiac Fiero after that. That little V6, 4 speed manual ROCKED!
(although the rear engine was a P.I.T.A. to work on)

I was 12. We were in the middle of the desert with a dune buggy.
Dad threw me the keys and said "figure it out"

I feel bad for all the cactus I killed that day

^^^
I was potty trained on cactus too.
They hated me.

But I am sure glad I had good balance. Can you imagine falling forward in to that?

Especially, falling into that, after you're done.

it's easy i used to rebuild chevy's and fords.
also some Japanese engines. but that was long
ago. now i just sit back and listen, cause the new
stuff is way over my head. if i took it apart i could
put it back together, now it's just to much crap.

Kev, you may find some GREAT deals on 08 40th Anniversary models in automatic. that totally seems like your color & style. and, it's a great looking car. (did i mention how awesome the interior is?)

at least go take a look at them before ruling them out.

r3 is manual only.

40th anniversary has old body style

09 has some subtle changes, but they are nice, imo
