Photoshoot

Remember that water tank off the 15 freeway I talked about going to, to take good pictures. Well it is a good place to take picutres...and it isn't

Below are some of the pictures I took. I had to lay on the ground to get some of the pictures but it obviously did not look like was laying there alive! About 10 minutes in a off duty police office rolls up in his 1980's Supra. He flases his badge at me and say "you know what that looks like?" (a body laying on the ground at a dead end street with the car lights still on) I thought for a second...! As soon as he pulled up and saw the camera a tripod (mini) he knew what i was doing. He had passed and then got off the free way and turned arodun to check on me.

He left and I continued to take a few more pictures, this time into the sun since it was closer to the horizon. Well not 10 minutes later I get a fire truck and two potrol cars pull up. I explain my story to the firemen breifly (seconds) and they take off. I go over to the officer and it doesnt go quite as fast. They say some people have made some calls (driving by?) and that they should check it out. He continues to check my ID and ask where I live, he says there is a close match (5'-10" white guy with brown hair and medium build, that is like half of the white population) and asks if I have ever been arested. After that he lets me go but I decide it is better that I am on my way.

So the end of the story is that I got some great shots but make sure you have a buddy with you or make sure you do not lay on the ground very long.

Car back?
They came to my job to change the windshield.
Took about 30 mins, and then I drove home.

So does that mean you are intrested? My only fear is that some snow will have melted through today and then it will freeze during the night making conditions tricky. I wanted to take pictures with the snow and the big rocks in the pass.

damn loren, that sounds like a crazy little experience. Next time take someone else, but not me... if people see a big dark looking guy and a smaller white looking guy on the floor, they'll call the swat team.

Cesar: I got Emilie the 120gb Zune for x-mas, I just installed the software on ther laptop and I'm transferring music over as we speak:

1344 artists found
9878 songs

and still finding more.... Probably a good thing I went with the 120.

So time to send me the Rhapsody info, I gotta catch up to her!

i like the turbo mr2 92-95 black, with the TOM roof scoops, and TOM engine cover/scoop, and 3000GT widebody kit. But hey the new one is cool because its the first spyder.

i am now in that unfortunate group of people with
the breaking of the clutch pedal. and here i was
thinking that since i did not drive my car so hard
that it would hold up. every time i make up my mind not to
trade it in something happens, well i'll just get this fixed and
move along to the next mod. oh and it does not help that
my other car is already in the shop getting a vacuum leak fixed

oh crap Micahel!!

Looks like I'm not the only one with two broken cars!
My car has been down for 2 weeks with the alternator issue and 3 days ago as I'm driving my Explorer I notice that all of my brake lights are OUT.
No problem, I'll just swap out the fuse...right???

WRONG!!!

that didn't fix a thing!

hang in there MIchael, we'll get you all fixed up

yeah, it's bullshit that the clutch pedals break so often
Unfortunately it's going to take someone being seriously injured or killed before Mazda realized that a clutch pedal is NOT a wear item and they should address the issue

so someone explain to me how the patriots did not make the play offs with a 11-5 record? the playoff system is not like the NBA where they take the top teams from each confrence.

Basically, I signed up for Rhapsody Unlimited.
When I signed up, it was Yahoo Music Unlimited, and it was $70/year.
Yahoo Music was not doing so well, and they were taken over by Rhapsody.
Rhapsody is about $12/month. They may have a cheaper rate if you sign up for a year or more.
After you're signed up, you can download unlimited amounts of music.
They don't have a every song, but they have over 6million so it's a decent collection.
The catch is, the music is WMA-DRM format.
Windows Media Audio with Digital Rights Management
The DRM feature blocks you from copying the song to another device, or burning it to a cd.
However, the PC you download it on, can play the song as many times as you like, as long as you're subscribed to Rhapsody.

Now for the cool part.

MuvAudio is software that turns WMA-DRM files into MP3 files w/ no restrictions.
You can download the software from here ---> http://www.muvenum.com/products/muvaudio/
It cost $18.99, but you can install a trial version and see if it works.
Muvaudio uses a virtual cable to play the WMA song and re-record it as a MP3 file.
It plays it in real time, so if the song is 4mins, it takes 4mins to re-record.
However, because it uses a virtual audio cable, it can record up to 10 songs at once.
Because I don't like to push my luck too much, I usually set the limit to 4 or 5 songs at a time, and I just let it run all night.
In one night, it can re-record about 800 songs.

FYI - Rhapsody songs download in 192kbps WMA-DRM. That's the same as a 384kbps MP3. (128Kpbs MP3 is cd quality)
Muvaudio gives you tons of options as far as what to turn the song into.
I make them 192Kbps MP3, but you can choose 64Kbps WMA which is CD quality, and takes up much less space.
