So Mirna and i went to Monterey for the week, it was our 10 year anniversary. On the way there we missted a few routes but got there non the less. accidently we came accross Laguna Seca, this was actually about 15 mintes from downtwon Monterey. Any way before we left we made a quick backwards detour and stopped by. Sadly nothing was going on but the lady at the gate let me drive in and take a few pictures free of charge. I wanted to ask if i coudl drive on the track but there was no one their beside teh lady at teh gate and a few campers.
speaking of campers i found the perfect spots to camp, they are right after the bridge i got a shot on. i want to go camping their for the weekend. I wish it wasnt so overcast but you know with the bay so close and it bing morning there wasnt much of a choice, when we arrived a few days eariler it was overcast as well, just not as wet.
-the first show is the vechicullar bridge as you come up the hills towards the corckscrew.
-the second shot is me on that same bridge.
-the third shot is the pedestrian bridge after turn 2
-the frouth and fifth shot is the marquee just after you enter right in front of the track.
-the picture i posted easlier is the monument sign before the gate.
On a side note there is a awesome road between the 5 and the 101 called the 198. it had about a hour of twisties but then again we came down the 1 and that was close to 3 2-3 hours of twisties. not only did I get to have fun this week end but so did my car.
so who is with me to go camping their next year? we can watch the grand am race and i think also the ALMS race the day before.

Leroy Smith is a friend of mine. He lives in Rancho. Some of you super basketball aficionados, might recognize the name.
He was friends w/ Michael Jordan in Junior High/High School, and he beat Jordan out for the last position on the Varsity team their Sophomore year.
Anyways, missing that spot made Jordan feel terrible, and he decided he never wanted to experience that again.
He has often mentioned that his friend, Leroy Smith, beating him is was motivated him to work harder and never quit. (Ultimately, making him the Jordan we all know)
Anyways, Nike is doing a new promotion for some upcoming Jordan stuff, and they started a new ad campaign based on Leroy Smith.
They will start airing on tv during the NBA Finals this week.
Leroy is played by Charlie Murphy. He's trying to get inducted in the NBA Hall of Fame, since he's responsible for Jordan being such a great player.
He's also a motivational speaker. Some of the ads are pretty funny.
They have a website, facebook and youtube page.

till then, I'm still laughing my *** off at the MV Puppets with LeBron and Kobe. Bummer the Cavs are out, I think it would have been fun to see more of the commercials during the finals. (if you guys haven't seen these let me know, I'll post up the youtube vids)

It's official
....Forza 3 release date has been provided, and the Forzamotorsports.net website has a new format...promoting the new game to be released in October, 09.
So, it is official, Forza 3 has come out prior to what ever driving game PS3 has been promoting since it's release....what was that game called again.....

Thanks Cesar I will keep a look out. My favorite Kobe-Lebron commercial is the sneaker jump into the car, ROTFLMO The original was helarious and the spook Kenny EJ and Charles did was great.

yeah, COD Modern Warfare 2 is Novemeber..so we will get a month of racing in as a group again, before people turn to Dookie.
Be nice to race with a ew game, with the whole group again...that definately was fun.
Looks like P2P is back.....it was in Forza 1. Looks like the drag strip is back...it was also in Forza 1.
Interiors of all 400 plus cars will be fully rendered, so this will present itself as the equivalent to what made that other PS3 racing game look so impressive.
A partial track list and car list has been posted, but they are simply cars and tracks pulled from promo videos or in game photos from the guys in the Forza 2 community...or from information leaked in press releases.
Physics engine is changed, and tuning has been expanded....and there are actual flips and serious car damage now....as you can observe in one of the promo videos.
It is going to be epic....I have all that excitement I had when Forza 2 was in this same stage back when they launched the 360....just hope we don't experience the same delays that Forza 2 had for release.....with the dates keep pushing back and back.
They have a preorder collectors edition available, which will have cars only available through that edition....kind of like the custom Nissan 350 z that was provided as a download code for people who got the preorder.

it just keeps getting better and better.....360 guys, check out all the videos from the E3 event (There are tons of videos you cna download on the dashboard...spend some time on your dashboard tonight and check them out....GOLD MEMBERS only though....so Loren get your damn 12+1 subscription card from ebay already.....don't worry about finding the "best" deal).....the 360 is going to have a lot of changes coming up that look impressive for those who use facebook and twitter....and there was even a promo for the ability to download games to your console, similar to how you can stream Netflick videos....I would assume it would be provided like a Gamefly account.
There was also a promo for the "theatre" option, which I thought we were going to have when the 360 format changed over to its current form....the ability to invite several people to watch amovie over xbox with you.

sony tried out star wars MMORPG with star wars galaxies and it flopped more times than a fish on dry land... maybe this time it will fair better?
i generally stay the heck away from those, cuz they suck up way too much time & plus u have to pay every month... i think of the star wars themed games, jedi knight series is still my favorite. jedi knight 2 was really fun, jedi knight 3 was kinda too short. but, then jedi knight 4 never materialized. and, instead lucas arts started making movie-themed games that were not as fun, imo.
