Throwing it out on next trash day----Monday, August 17th

So speak now if you want stock parts sitting in my garage....have no need for them and figured I would post here since i would not have to worry about shipping.

Stock RX8 Flywheel TAKEN

Stock RX8 Springs

These are free to anyone who would like them and come pick them up, otherwise, they are going in the trash on Monday.

Call me, as I have not been checking the forums much during my summer break.

3rd pic shows the timing stick...with the track name...Circuit de Cataluyna (Spain maybe....a quick Google search would locate it though).

depends on what you are driving?

So it is offical - the most i have wridden on my bicycle is now 100 miles. I road from ventura right where the 101 hits the cost up into the santa barbara hills and back in a not too shaby pace, 17.6 mph 5h40m (6h40m with breaks) with almost 4000' of climbing. Now that that goal is accomplished i guess i can train for 10,000' of climbing.

P.S. i saw a lambo super legerra(sp) on the freeway right near the las verginieas (sp) exit (old malibu run) and a NSX shortly there after. The lambo and farrari dealerships didnt have too much to look at excapt for the 599 parked outside.

not quite sure what happened. Our power steering is all electronically assisted so I'm hoping it's the wiring harness.
I ordered a new one already and should know more in a few days.

Fortunately it went out as I was almost home but lemme tell you how much "fun" it is to make slow turns without the PS.

i know how "fun" driving w/o PS is. after my accident when i was driving my dad's truck around for the year after my accident, it wasn't much fun to drive w/o PS. but after about a month or so, i got used to it. made me stronger too!

but, is your car still under warranty or not? what about extended warranty? or is extended warranty only stuff with power train? is PS considered part of the power train? i don't think it is, but would mazda consider it being part of the power train?

yeah, no powersteering on a can WITH power steering sucks. (now you have to turn the wheels AND the power steering). although in an RX-8 its not like your turning a pump.....

Keiths went out one time. we instaled new pulleys when we were working on it we much have knock the plug somehow as this was the problem. simply unpluged..... did you look at that?

I'll probably take a look at it tonight or tomorrow, got kind of busy this weekend. I'm leaning towards it being the connection below the airbox.
Apparently the damn coolant overflow tank relief hose points directly at the harness and sure enough... coolant light came on that same day.

some people report that theirs gets gunked up and stops working. probably just needs to be cleaned out throroughly and reconnected.
I'll reroute that damn hose as well

Michael: just extend the little hose and it should help prevent it.
