you sprayed or used the brush?

loren: BHR is the cheapest place to get plugs.
it's usually $80 a set.

powder coating give syou any color option you want. If you look back when I was trying to sell my rims, we photo chopped a pic of your car with my wheels on them....and since it was a quick chop, we didn't edit out my red calipers....could give you a good idea of what it may look like with red.

Blue powder coating may be the way to go if you want to consider blue. I would agree that the blue paint that is currently available for brake calipers does not look good.

Good thing with powder coating is it will last longer and is easier to clean.
Bad thing, a little more hassle to get it done. Talk to Cesar and ask him how he did it.

...no certainty that BHR coils won't be prone to go bad fast, right?

the coil wasn't bad, it was a broken wire that caused the issue.
the BHR coils should easily outlast the OEM's. There's quite a few other cars that have adopted Yukon coils and are getting really long life spans.

I'm kind of glad to hear that...he looked really bad in pre season. I felt bad watching the last two games, on every highlight he was out of the play, out of position, or was just run over on the play. He was a great part of the Patriot past, I'm glad to know he will go out on a high note, rather than see him struggle during the regular season and be forced out that way.

Patriots played a 4-3 defense against the Redskins last week....and 3-4 the week prior. So, I think with their current roster of line backers and converted defensive line players, they will do fine in Bruschi's absence.

Brady's shoulder probably feels just like mine, sore for the past two years....in the season he threw the record 50 touchdowns, Brady was on the injury list every week as "probable" with a sore shoulder. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens this year. Too bad that it happened in preseason, as he has been having only positive comments about his arm/shoulder prior to that play prior to the second half with the redskins.

If I would have kept my car any longer than I had, I definately was planning to change our the coils and plug wires...I think it is just good maintenance on the RX8. Luckily for Loren, he works so close to his home....with all the driving I was doing every day, I wouldn't be able to wait for seven stock like Loren may be able to. If it was my car, I definately wouldn't wait. I would get coils in asap.

26 days, 3-1/2 weeks is a long time to wait even with my close commute. Jeorge did you replace your coils your self, that is a tight spot to reach.

I've replaced them myself numerous times. Dozer has a DIY on how to do it.
it's pretty simple if you've got a ratchet, sockets, and an extension.

I'd recommend a u joint for the spark plugs though. they're a little tricker to get to but it's not bad.

I would agree that 3 1/2 weeks would be too long to wait. Install should be easy with the DIY.

Forza Monday, I'll be there.

Maybe Cesar would like to start joining us so he can get warmed up for the new Forza....

Loren: if you don't want to wait, I'd recommend ordering stock coils.
www.onlinemazdaparts.com usually has the lowest prices. You'll need 4 coils.
You could have Ray send you 4 spark plugs and some new spark plug wires. (BHR makes upgraded wires)

cheaper than ordering the full ignition upgrade.
you'll be at the mercy of your Mazda coils but at least you get the car fixed sooner.

No pix for us Michael?

I haven't done much to my car of course. I still need to touch up all my rock chips before SS... Sigh

Last week some teenagers at the 626 sat on my car and scratched up my front bumper & fender very nicely. They must've had keychains, keys, or some sharp studs on their pants/ clothes... I managed to get most of the scratches out using the porter cable. But FCK! This is like the 2nd time this has happened so I'm kinda soured. I know it wasn't on purpose but I'm tired of dealing with BS like this.... Am prolly not going to go to the meet anymore on a regular basis...

why were people leaning on your car?
that's retarded and would have been rewarded with me punching them in the face.

Loren: yeah, sounds like it's best if you just go with the OEM coils, BHR wires, and new spark plugs.
you'll be good to go.
Random thought: when was the last time you cleaned your RB air filter or MAF sensor?

don't you have a Racing Beat intake?
Have you ever cleaned the MAF sensor?

Loren: I thought you had the RB. I must have been thinking Rodger's car. you VR's all look alike.

Keith: am I the only one here that does preventative maintenance? I cleaned my MAF when installed my coils since you have to remove the MAF tube to get easier access to the coils.

...unless preventative maintenance means car washes and filling the gas tank...

I think most car owners do the standard things like oil and air filter changes...and even with that, I would assume most are paying to have it done rather than wrench on the car. MAF sensor, I would go to guess about 90% of people, even on this board have not cleaned theirs. I know I never did and I have close to 80k miles on the car.

Heck, I never did an oil change on my 8, the oil filter was just a pain to get to. And, honestly, I fell behind with cleaning the RB intake filter because mine was so hard to get to with all the other mods I did to the car.

..man, it feels like forever since I had that car.
