bail out and "stimulus"
I'm so sick of those words.

speaking of which... dunno which is more frightening- Obamacare or the John Edwards fiasco. to think that that guy almost became vice president and then ran for president is very alarming. good thing that he struck out both times... on the lighter side, i'm sure there's already a porno being made about it...

I don't know if my brother can take ownership, or if he heard is somewhere else...but he gave me a great new word to describe our new president and his campaign....
two words...Obama & Nation.....these two words put together, describe his campaign and where we will be...we are living in ....
Obamanation.

So last night at 8:30 I hoped on the 15 N at Foothill and a TG goes flying past me in the slow lane as I merge. I catch up to him and to the best "Hi" I can in the dark. Then I see a white mazda 3 zoom past on the left lane. Then I see a WP 8 parked on the side of the road. Keith was that you, what kind of underground thing you got going?!
This morning I gave a guy a thumps up in a orange MS Protege, he gave me a wave when he passed me...pretty cool.

i saw a red 8 on saturday on the 60FWY going east bound with me (in traffic though, lol). it had those spikes at the end of the roof line that the EVO XIII and EVO IX have, wheels (didn't get to see what kind) gun-metal silver in color, and the head lights had LEDs that were made to look like the new Audi's.
probably somebody here on the boards, but since i don't venture out of this thread the times i do come here, i don't know who it is, lol.

you'll never beleive the car I saw driving out to Beaumont on Saturday....I saw a gorgeous yellow car in the distance...about half mile ahead of me on the freeway. I looked over to Erica and said, "I think that is a Porche Carrera GT"....but in my mind I was thinking no way.
Sure nough....a yellow Carrera GT....and obviously it was going over the posted speed limit, as the adjustable wing was fully extended. Damn, that thing is like 3 feet high. The car is so low to the ground and has an awsome exhaust note.
Dude was driving by himself, must be a lonely life to own that car, be driving on a freeway towards Beaumont.....
Erica snapped some pics of it with her cell phone.

Wozzers! must be a snow bunny in his last few weeks in the desert. Probabely drove out to Pasadena or LA or something and is on his way back or vice versa. Have never seen one of those in person yet except for when they were debuted at the LA autoshow.

i'm not really into porsches, but that car does look very unique... didn't do too much this weekend... mostly catchup on sleep. wanted to go riding/ driving, but was just too exhausted...
speaking of which... so i guess "obama care" is in full swing at the tune of 9 billion of our tax dollars... i wonder how the dems think that by mandating that everyone "must" carry health insurance how that will solve all our nation's health care problems.
i mean, a lotta ppl can't even afford car insurance and still drive around uncovered. and, we all know that is req'd by law. so, is requiring health insurance really going to make a difference if ppl can't even afford to pay for their groceries or car? then u have all the illegals who are both off the tax grid and off the insurance grid... how is this going to help them or make them want to pay for something they never had to pay for before?
we definitely need some sort of health insurance reform. but, am just not entirely sold on this particular package... seems like we need the insurance industry reformed, higher standards set for dr tenureship, and then maybe some sort of gov't program to assist the poor- as needed.
but, the way things are, dr's are pressured to order unnecessary, harmful (radiation) tests to avoid lawsuits, insurance co's deny claims and deny pre-existing condition patients, and the ceo of united health is one of the richest men in the country. meanwhile, i have health insurance at work, but still have to pay the balance between what my insurance pays my dr, because they don't pay him enough... what gives?
<sigh>
