seems like FOREVER since i've been out to malibu... really missed our malibu cruises days back in 2005 ~ 2007...

anyhow. i made it out there with my motorcycle club, SCAR, this past saturday. (short for so cal asian riders.) mostly older, working professional guys who ride safely, but that know a lot about biking. i've been learning a lot from these guys about safety and riding techniques. we did Las Virginas to Mullholland, to PCH, to Neptunes for lunch. after after lunch a couple of us did a Decker canyon run back to the 101. the weather was great.

i look like a pro, but am really just a good poser. hahahaha psyche

so you mean I can't join SCAR? awww, what the heck! That's discrimination!

it has been FAR too long since we've been out to Malibu, I really do miss those runs.
Here's a picture for old time's sake.

This was taken after one of our runs when we all met at the McDonalds before everyone headed home. I was trying to capture the difference between Gerry's spoiler and the MS wing. Damn cheapo camera...

Gerry: you do look like a Pro in that picture, glad to see you're wearing full leathers, it's the only way a buddy of mine would ride because you never know what can happen out there.
Next time we want a picture of you doing a wheelie.

lol.... actually, we have a very mixed group, and all ethnicities are welcome. they really should've just called the group "so cal riders," but i'm guessing that name was taken already.

yah- i am a firm believer in riding safely. and, i make a habbit of wearing full gears. motorcycling is inherently a dangerous activity. the only thing one can do is to minimize and manage that risk by riding safely and wearing the proper protection... plus, basic gear is really not that expensive. my suit was only $300. granted, it's not a dianese suit that costs thousands. but it's good, basic protection. i dunno why some ppl risk it by riding with jeans and a t-shirt. that's just plain crazy to me...

oddly, i didn't see any car clubs out there on saturday. just lotsa bikes and pork. :P

I think the cops scared away all the car clubs. Towards the end of that meet, we started seeing more and more police officers on those roads and I remember once they stopped to yell at us when we came screaming around a corner and they had the road blocked.

Apparently a rider had tipped his bike so they were assisting him when 10+ of us came roaring around the turn.
As you can imagine, the cops were not amused.

yah. oddly, the cops don't seem to mind the photography crews that camp out at the "snake" on mullholland. i think that them being there encourages a lot of drivers and bikers do crazy things to try to look cool going around the turn. if u go on youtube and search crashes on the snake on that road, there are a lot.

but, there are so many roads throughout malibu canyon, that i think we just need to know "where" to go. decker canyon, for example, was pork free. the only thing frustrating is that if u get a couple passenger vehicles leisurely going through there, they create a big bottleneck line of vehicles (cars and bikes alike), waiting behind them. plus they have no place to turn out.

we never did tuna canyon in our group, but that one is fun too. i did that one a long time ago with the 626 rx-8 guys. all downhill, white knuckle fun. :P

Input form anyone (althought we have made the purchase already)?

We had Verion phone and internet 10/5 FIOS and Direct TV for $160 but we are switching to Verion FIOS for everything, internet will be 25/25 and we will now get HD signals for $125.
Isnt this what Cesar has?

Sort of...
I have every HD channel (no movie channels though) and my speeds are 35/35.

For phone service we use MagicJack at home.
Unlimited national calls, and international calls (which we do a lot) are super cheap.
The only way to call internationally for less is to call tech support.

BTW - I know I'm practically a noob on this site again, but why does scremn8's name show up red on my screen?

Yeah we get the speed channel in HD now (soon). the internet speed shoudl be pretty cool.

You must be color blind too becase it is pink not red. Jedi's used to be to. Can you guess why it was pink?

Ahh.. that makes sense.

I joined the "Black History Month" user group. Hence, the color of my name.
