I usually try and rule out the big items first and then work my way down to the little details.

I agree with Michael, could very well be your coils, I've heard of some going bad in as quickly as a few thousand miles.

OK so it could be the coils or even the cat but Swoop seems to think that the engine code is related to the fuel pump (running to lean). Is there a reason why it couldnt be the pump?

could be the fuel pump
not as easy to diagnose as others so before you go buying a new pump...

because those could be causing you problems.
you need to rule things out.
car shouldn't randomly run good one day and others sluggish.

the fuel pump is a known issue in some cars but you have no easy way to diagnose that.
coils are a known weakness but without a multi-meter you can't test them and even some have reported misfires with coils within the resistance range.

that leaves you two things you can check.
cat
compression

either that or start throwing money at the problem. Up to you...

I didnt mean why i meant to say how, do I check those?

I talked to Keith yesterday and he might show up in the rmoning but i dont think he will go for anymore then that. Did we decide on what we are doing after the run?

cat raise car, put on jack stands, loosen the 3 bolts holding it, drop down and peak inside.
compression rotary shop, dealership, or someone with a rotary compression tester.

.
green is how.

if you see anything loose / bouncing around then the cat is clogged / broken. If the honeycomb is intact, you're good.

compression tests are usually $100+

Loren: whose planning the route for Saturday?
we should probably have this figured out before the meet otherwise we'll stand around the parking lot trying to figure out what to do.

anyone talked to Vipers lately?

The meet will be easy it can be any number of runs most commonly used:
-Twin Peaks (18/Waterman)
-Crestline Loop (18/Waterman)
-Big Bear (330)

My tags are expired beacse I havent gotten a smog yet because I haven gotten the check engine light to go away yet, so you will need to hide my rear on the cruze.

Ya, I'll be there.

I was in Vegas this weekend. Lost tons money, but I discovered this place too.

www.hotnjuicycrawfish.com/

We were looking for a place to eat, I used google to find local restaurants, and this place had a bunch of 5 star reviews. Turns out, they were on Man VS Food.

Cesar: just saw that video, that place looks really cool.
can't even tell you the last time I ate crawfish, I was probably a kid. don't remember if I even like them but now you've got me wanting to check that place out.

ALTHOUGH, the breakfast place at the beginning of that clip is now on my list of places to visit.
