Someone needs to take the initiative and get these meets started again. They done happen because most of the old guys don't have the 8 anymore. There are enough people to make this happen and Riverside is also very active.

Loren: I was just thinking the same thing as I was driving home.
We really don't do this often enough and I think we should try and get them going again.
What do you think about trying to do a run in August?
If you help plan out a route, I can help spread the word.

Well after lunch in Big Bear, my car through a code and it starting running funny (lack of power). I ended up taking the air box off again and from what I can tell the only thing that could be causing the coolant leak would be the nipple that I broken when originally installing the new coolant reservoir.
I got a quote from my regular shop to fix or replace the radiator and they said $500. I got a quote from another shop to replace the top tank on the radiator for $160 but I would have to take it to him and they didn't have time that day anyway. I got anther quote for a shop to do all the work since even if I could take it off I had no car to get to the shop (refurbish $280 or replace $320) so I have a new radiator.
In replacing that the battery was disconnected so the code is gone but I have since ordered that device that Casey has so that should be here in few weeks (overseas). I will let you know how it acts this weekend since it is supposed to be super hot in the I.E.

As for organizing meets, I am pretty busy currently with my bike rides, hikes and keeping the wife happy. I do enjoy but I try to save up my passion for SS and other big days in the year. I don't mind organizing another meet, maybe Malibu, I found a cool place to take pictures up near Point Magu but lets wait until the weather gets a little better?

Anyone have any experience replacing the sun visor. The dealership told me I have to pay for it because of the mileage, the TSB mentions something about a warranty wizard? My drivers side broke this last weekend. It is $220 for one.

The TSB just tells the dealer how to handle the repair, at the end of which you get charged for it like any other repair. TSBs ALL reference warranty coverage because it is possible for the referenced item to fail while covered by a warranty. A TSB does not automatically confer warranty, simply that if there is an applicable warranty, how to submit the warranty claim.
The warranty that covers the sun visor is the Bumper to Bumper, which is 3yrs 36,000 miles.

The visors fail in warmer climates. Keep close tabs on the Classified Forums for part-outs and quickly put in your request for this item. They are in high demand and go fast. Also call Mazmart and see if they have any from a car they have parted out.

I used extra large binder clips and clipped them on the area that was separated. I have 2 clips on each visor. To my knowledge, no one has ever noticed, even while riding in the car. After I put the clips on, I removed the wires that are used to open the clips.
Ya, I know, ghetto fix, but it's cheap and since the car is all Yellow/Black, I didn't think it would matter. Plus, like I said, no one has ever noticed, or at least they haven't said anything.

loren, can't say I've had a disc get stuck in there and I'm not sure there's an 'easy' way to get it dislodged without removing the unit.
do you have the single disc or the 6 disc ?

The BIG binder clip does work but it is a little fugly. I will make due with it for a bit but I was just PM'ed about someone who has the part.
Well... I finally did it.
I bought a new car. When I get a chance I will post pictures.
