Snowfl8k Spotted This Morning
I saw the Snowfl8k today on the 210 freeway on my morning drive to work. She was going west, and then exitted at Baseline.
The new hispanic girl owner tinted the heck out of the front windows, and put a thin chrome liscence plate frame on the rear plate. The Ings rear is still in place, the RX8 sticker on the third brake light....didn't notice any things additional. I snapped a couple of pictures with my camera phone to share with Erica tonight....I dont know how to load camera pics onto the thread, but if I figure it out, I will share tonight.

Nobody's here today...
Back to the GTR picture. (Tiberon
)
What's up w/ the color?
It looks like it's rusted out, but there is no way a car that new could be that rusted unless it was sitting in salt water for a few months.
I'm callin' shenanigans, that's photoshopped.
There is hardly any damage on the front of that car, definitely not enough to warrant leaving that car just sitting there.
So, I did some investigating (in the style of scremn8), and found the source of the photo.

This piece came about from watching Super Speedway. I've seen this DVD plenty of times. And after watching it recently, the part where they discovered this old race car in someone's shed, it gave me an idea of looking into the future of how one of the great cars currently might look like in the future.
I didn't want to do the same story line as the Super Speedway plot so I thought to maybe even add some humor to this piece.. as if someone took a picture of an abandoned GT-R found parked in a no parking zone thus explaining the title.
I had a great time doing this and a good practice in texture mapping and painting. It's all done with Photoshop CS using the mighty mouse.
I'm still looking for a better caption or title for this piece.
Here are some suggestions so far:
-No Parking
-GT-Rusted
-Worst case of Amnesia
-pwned

got another email from that Chronicxlullaby guy:
"k thanks ********. sorry your car has been on autotrader since the website debuted. "
I responded with a couple more kind words, basically calling him a joke.

keith> report his account to autotrader admins.
that's what i would do, anyways. useless bickering with him back and forth. auto-trader should protect it's sellers & buyers from low-lifes like that guy.

oh, the hilarity continues....and I quote from his most recent email.
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true
less miles then yours. you can put 100k in your car and it wont be worth a dollar more. so its your loss that you wasted all your money on it. i had 15k in my evo ix and i didnt sell it for 15k more then kbb. so post this "your a ******* idiot to put so much money in a rx-8"
I gently informed him that the link he was referring to was for a base model RX8...and that his kbb value was off due to the same mistake. I informed him of the differences and that he should really know more about the car.

What you should do is;
Go back to him w/ your tail between your legs, apologize, and tell him you decided to do more research, and found his statements to be true.
If he is still interested in the car, find out what area he's in, and ask him to meet you somewhere that will be a pain for him to get too So he can test drive the car.
Make him go through a little bit of trouble. That would be entertaining.

^^^ What would be the fun in that? Go with Cesar's idea - definitely. Maybe we are going to be staying with some family up in Arrowhead. He should meet you up there - it would be the perfect place to test drive the 8 on those mountain roads and see what the car can REALLY do. heeee heee heee. So evil

Bag that idea. He'll just get another account. It's free.

babyjunk...oh, that was priceless.
Just to give the others on this board some idea of what we are talking about....Cesar and I were playing Call of Duty 4 online when we came across a guy and his screenname "BabyJunk".....he was getting much attention from that name and he bacme very upset. The teasing and harassing was very strong.
My favorite part was when we asked if he knew what "babyjunk" meant...and he said, very proudly, "yes, and my girlfriend came up with it".
Even better is when he attempted to tease me by saying that I was probably 30 and already graduated college. He sure got me![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I sent him a friend request, but he didn't accept.
Babyjunk is almost as good as "Holla"...when the guy with the eye patch popped out of that Baby Blue Hawaiin Punch Caprice with lambo doors.

he obviously is a pansey teenager. he won't fall for casey's trick. not because he's too smart to, but because he's too lazy and dumb to even bother. he would most likely make up a lame excuse why he can't go.
reporting his account at least would alert admins. if he creates another account then so be it. then it's up to the next seller will have to do the same thing when dealing w/ him. if his account requires a real name & address, then they'd have him.

Paging El Nerdo, paging El Nerdo!
Need to know where to get a good DVD Recorder for my home entertainment system. Preferrably (+) since apparently I have a million of those discs...
I think the current one is dying, the audio SUCKS when I burn something. (panasonic, 2 years old)

well, the soap opera continues. I think this, like Detrich stated earlier, is one of those punk teens that feels he is entitled to the last word....
"wow looks like you do a whole lot with your life to try and lecture me on all that. good for you. and i doubt you actually sold the car. my friend called you about this rx-8 last year and then he told me about it this week that it was still on there. he said you had a baby or something and you had another white rx-8. so it shows how badly your car was priced to be up for sale this long. too bad. and i dont low ball i offered what the car is exactly worth.
your welcome to buy either my srt or my sti as soon as your ***** drop."
I deal with these kids all day, and then enjoy frustrating them online in the evenings on Xbox.
I am starting to think that this kid is friends with that first 16 year old that called on my car. The one I started selling off parts to meet his budget on the car. The one that totalled his first RX8 (an AT one at that)....and then parents wouldn't agree to purchase the car after I drove down to Fountain Valley.
I responded to the email by simple saying"tell Lyle the car is sold".
