sorry guys, I hate to do it, but I cant even make it to the meet. we are getting an early start tomorrow.
I have to go rent the tiller, come back and till the back yard, take the tiller back, get the trentcher, come back and trench the back yard, take it back, go to home depot get ALL the crap to do the back yard (sprinkers) come back, do all the sprinklering... blah blah blah. all by Sunday.
I have a little help and its going to be an ALL weekend kinda thing. I just cant spend a half a day off.
as much as I would rather hang out with friends and talk rotary, this is something that needs to get done. its been a long time commin.
I hope everyone still has a good time! I want to see pics.

Update: I won't be able to make the meet! I got my RX-7 back from the rebuild, and everything is absolutely great, except that my radiator is leaking again. So I need to take it out tomorrow morning, take it to a radiator shop, have them fix it, then put it back in so I can drive it next week. Sorry guys!

too bad we didint have that many turn out but gas prices i think really do take it toll on car clubs expecailly for the gas guzzlers.

sammy brought the videos to the 626 meet. they were sweet. he had a cracked rotor though- so he wasn't able to go all out. it was still some awesome footage though.
speaking of which, the 626 had some serious drama last night...
at around 1145pm we had to move the meet over to the cafe sky works at- cuz this drunk, bald mexican gang banger started staring down richard for no apparent reason. and, richard, with ***** the size of basketballs, for some reason decided to respond by saying something to the effect, wtf u looking at- upon which the gang banger guy came over across the street over to us and started yelling, then went back across the street, took off his shirt to expose his tats, and then proceeded to romp around like a mad dog ready to come bite us.
at that point i think we were all thinking, ooooooooh crap, he's going to his car to get his gun and we're all dead. luckily, the guy's gf or something came by and apologized and said that he was drunk. but, that still didn't calm our nerves. so we decided to all get the freak outta there.
stephen, who came to the meet late went to the original location. and, he told us when he got there, there were like 5 cop cars there w/ guns pulled frisking those mexican guys across the street. talka about HOLY CRAP!
good thing the cops didn't give out any fix it tickets.

only 2 FCs showed up!?!?
Man, there were a lot of people on the "i will be there list"
what a bummer.
well we got al ot done this weekend. worked from sun up to sun down both days! Got it all mapped, tilled, leveled, trenched, sprinklers layed, glued, and tested.... man.... what a lot of work! I am so frigin exhausted.
still need to cover up the lines, re-level, plant, get and install the several tons of rock, hook up the valves (electonics), lay manuer, and seed..... then wait.... and wait some more.
HOPEFULLY we will have it all done by the end of this next wekeend.

Hey guys, I feel bad missing the meet last Saturday. My radiator broke on my newly rebuilt car, and all I had left to do to get the car in optimal condition was to get that fixed. So I wanted to have the car all this week to drive to school (its my daily driver), and had to get it done ASAP since my dad was leaving for a business trip (we work on the cars together) yesterday (Monday). Well the radiator shop didn't get it done in time so they're still working on it, so basically I missed the meet for nothing, but oh well.
Just a heads up, I will not be at the next meet in June either. I do not intend to go to a meet until my engine is broken in, all 2000 miles of it. I would be too tempted and too sad that I could not push my car when everyone else is revving theirs out.
My first 1000 miles must be kept under 4000rpm.
My second 1000 miles I need to slowly and gradually start increasing the rpm.
I was hoping to have it broken in by June's meet, but there is absolutely no way I can do 2000 miles in 3 weeks. 1000 I could do, but not 2000. All 2000 miles will easily be done by July's meet. By that meet, I hope to have my brother's RX-7 up and running in fair condition, and caravan to the meet with my dad driving my brother's car, and myself driving mine. This coming weekend high quality pictures will be posted after both cars are washed.
For now (to the confusion of the neighbors):
