My car just got broken in to.
Luckily . . . it looks like they did no visible damage.
But they did take a laptop worth about $100, but forgot to take the $100 cash in the ashtray.
I guess I am lucky. Aside from a couple months worth of information . . . the laptop had nothing on it. They didn't even got the power cable.

I have no clue how they got in to the garage. My car had the window cracked by about 1", but it would have taken someone way too long to fiddle that button open. An arm could not have fit.
It is wierd. They didn't even take the bag it was in. The bag cost about $150, and the laptop was worth $100. They also left my $100 in the ashtray.
But the sunglasses they stole were one of a kind, so if I see them . . . . .

This whole thing happened while I was on my lunch break. I came home for food, so they did it within a 45 minute span.
My garage is down a concrete hallway with 3 other garages. It is an apartment. To get in to the house requires a key like a hotel. An electronic 'big brothers watching' key that is coded per person, not per apartment. So they changed the code of my garage, re keyed the manual key on the garage door, and the cops came for the report.
I almost wonder why they printed?... They never print unless it is 'grand-theft' which is over a couple thousand, isn't it?

the more things change
more then likely there is probably a rash of these going on and they may have someone in mind that they caught before. match the finger prints and it's done.

they tried to pull the window open with their fingers, and then they tried to kick the window. luckily my car alarm went off and scared them away before they got their butts kicked by my boss and i .
there was a witness, and the witness called the cops aparently. when the cops arrived they also printed my car. the prints however didn't come up though because they had been smeared going in a downwards motion.
sucks that your stuff did get stolen from your car. if that were me, the data lost would have been most important to me.

幹他媽!
yah, i think frying the dude to a crisp is a bit too much. just jolting him repeatedly until he's unconscious so u can call the cops would be good enough for me.

haha, I remember the electricuting car alarm! They ACTUALLY made something like that after RoboCop came out.
I remember seeing it at PepBoys; it looked like "the club" but it was inside a fliberglass enclosure. You could push a button and BAM!!! Electricity would shoot across the thing. I scared the crap out of small women and children anytime someone messed with it.
